Yes there are lights that are more powerful and cheaper, but not loaded with as many features as the Aputure MC Pro light. The light comes preloaded with LEE and ROSCOE filter libraries, allowing you to match gel colors of either of those brands.In addition, you can custom dial in any RGB value you want, preset color correction values. Also it is loaded with about 65 custom light effects, like cop car strobe lighting, flame or fire flickering and so many more. Want the color temp of a sodium vapor light? Dial it in. Want to match some random color? Pull out your cell phone camera and tell it to match the color in the camera. The free basic cell phone app allows you to be as creative as you need. Plus, it has a built-in lithium rechargeable battery (lasting between 1 and 2.5 hours) and/or you can plug in to a USB power source and run it indefinitely. The housing is a solid aluminum block with a very and intuitive easy to use display. But wait there is more.Great for onset environment lighting, special fx lighting, tabletop product photography, key or fill lighting for portraits and much more.It comes with a cold shoe ball and tripod mount, along with a magnetic grid diffuser, dome diffuser and plain white diffuser. This light has amazing features and is built to last. The app uses bluetooth and can communicate to multiple devices simultaneously. You won't be disappointed.

These are great minimalist run and gunners! Plenty bright to work as accent lights - even a key in a pinch. The magnets are super strong and really open up your placement abilities!

Perfect for professional ENG top light or fill. This light can do so many things it cannot be described in a review. The ease of control & color matching are quick, simple & intuitive. If you have any lighting experience, you’ll find Apature fixtures incredibly easy to use and outperform much more expensive lighting equipment.I’ve personally used it more for a backlight or color-gel look for backgrounds. It also reproduces many lighting effects like police lights, lightening, fireplace, fireworks, etc etc.

Love it! Save me already a few times when was filming interviews outside in night time. Highly recommend! A bit pricy but you can make a lot of creative stuff with this powerful light that will fit in your pocket!
