Replacement for another similar BO fan capacitor, different mounting hole position, but still worked. Having wires eliminated the need to solder the fans power wires. Small wire nuts made connecting easy peasy.

I received my new capacitor in one day. The mounting screw hole was a little different than the one that came out, but I made it work. On the old one, the hole and wiring is on the same end. On this new one, they are opposite.About 2 more inches of wire would have been nice to work with because of this, but like I said. I made it work.I did check the microfarads with my meter before I installed it as I do with any capacitor that I replace and found that it was .05 from being out of its +/- 5% tolerance.Though it came in at 2.43mfd’s it’s was still better than the old ones 1.63mfd’s.After a few minutes, my old fan was back up and running. No more delayed starting, no more slow rpm’s on all settings and no more hot motor windings smell.Just needed a Phillips screwdriver, a pair of dikes, a pair of wire strippers and 2 wire nuts. A meter that reads mfd’s isn’t necessary, but if you want to know what the readings are of your old one and new one then you would need one or know someone like an HVAC tech that has one handy.

I did not like that it came in a package that did not say anything about it coming from an Amazon seller (or similar) on the package. It came by mail. It was sent in a timely manner. That is all I can help with. I bought it to use on a fan and either it did not work or the motor was shot. I finally took the fan apart and tossed it in the recycle bin.
