Obviously, the bad guys can steal anything if they work at it. Hopefully this is a deterrent, so they move on to an easier target. Takes a little effort to install, but that's a good thing so it's not so easy to remove. Very good quality and fit.

There has been a rash of catalytic converter thefts in our area. We got one Cat Shield for each vehicle and pit the stickers on our vehicle windows. So far, we still have our "cats" and it doesn't look like there have been any attempts to steal them. They were pretty easy to install too.

Not too easy to install, but how could it be? Not too hard either. I didn't run into any of the fitting problems others have reported, I suspect they were doing something wrong. A mechanic shouldn't have any trouble installing it. Not theft proof, but why would they attack this when there are other, easier cars around?

I ordered this right away after purchase of my Toyota Rav4 2023 Hybrid Limited. This particular brand is far more better than what I have used on my prius, probably better upgrade than what I have seen on youtube. This thing do not rattle so far. The only complaint I have is the instruction manual, it could have been improved with pictures. I am a DIYer, I highly recommend this product given it is made in USA, and its good quality.

More and more thefts being reported daily for catalytic converters so adding a minimal cost for protection is peace of mind. I had it installed for around $60 since a lift was needed, but it went on with minimal time down. Now crooks will bypass my vehicle for those of you who are not protected. The shield completely covers the converter, and even has an additional part to discourage trying to reach around shield to try and get at it.

There was three negative issues where we did not know where the screw should go or how the piece is assembled properly with existing under carriage. The third and biggest issue is there are only three screws to cover securing the plate over the cat - meaning it seems like you can easily just pry it off with a crowbar.Saving grace was it's easy to understand and best of all images that made the text much easier to follow. There was only two issues where there was a gap and it took two of us over 15 minutes to figure out each confusing install instruction.Don't know if it's a real deterrent as it's recent and my car is not one high on the crooks cat list. But it does afford some piece of mind.

The catalytic converter shield is made by a major manufacturer of CC shields. It fits the 2022 Toyota Rav4 perfectly and has anti-remove bolts that make it very time-consuming for thieves to take it off to get to the catalytic converter. The thieves want the theft done in 3-5 minutes. While there are YouTube videos showing guys installing the shield on their own, I wanted a professional installation by people experienced in the process. My local Midas shop did the work in about 90 minutes for $180. Considering the high cost of replacing a CC shield ($2000 to $4000), the total cost of the shield is a good value--$260 for the shield + $180 to install = $440.
