The telescope does not match the description in the listing. The size and style of it are fine and overall it's a seems to be an ok product, but the listing for it is wrong. This is listed as having a magnification of around x30, it is not. I'd say it looks to be between x12 and x15 at best.

I'm using mine more as a decorative piece in a pirate/nautical themed bathroom. It has a great appearance and classic look. My boys are very interested in the piece and at some point, I'll probably allow them to put it to use. But for now, it's the perfect masculine touch in their bathroom. Would make a wonderful gift too!! Thank you!

It has a very nice finish, to adjust the focus of the telescope, you have to pull the tip (at the opposite end of where you put you eye) in and/or out until it focuses correctly

Got this for a gift for an 8 year old grandson. This was a great addition to his Pirate costume! Very realistic looking and also very clear to look through. He was excited about the leather case it came in because he could tuck his treasure map in it with the telescope. I know he will have many exciting adventures with his telescope.

This spyglass was a pleasant surprise. I did expect to find more of a steampunk showcase item... what I received was one fine telescope. I'm not sure of the numbers but I am reading street signs from half a block away, license plates as well. The telescope is a beautiful brass multi staged and powerful. Totally practical for using.One of the best buys I have made this year.
