I am a thunder thighs girlie and trust me when I tell you I have tried it all.... This became my holy grail in my most recent trip. It works so well specially if you get wet! I put this on before I went down to the pool and swam for a while and it still stayed. There is no white cast as long as you distribute it really well and avoid your clothing.

Might not work after 8 hrs of running but saved my skin from the under bra rash I get occasionally. Absolutely essential for rashes. Very soft and absorbs quickly.

I use a few of different anti-chafe products and order this one to compare to my goto product. GurneyGoo. GurneyGoo has a petrolatum base which is highly water (sweat) resistant, this product lists its first ingredient as water. In fact many of the products I've tried list water as their first ingredient. My experience with using both is that Blue Steel is ok for shorter bouts of exercise or dry conditions but not where you are going long or expect to be wet. It's more cream like to apply and when I used it on a common chafe point for long runs (6 miles) I definitely did get a little chafe as my post run shower told me! I was concerned when I applied it as I could basically wash it off my hands with water even without soap. With GurneyGoo that is not the case, it's a thicker product and highly water repellent, no water in the ingredient list. I can tell even a day later and after a shower that GurneyGoo is still on the skin, it really is different in this aspect, it stays on for much longer and resists water and chafe very well. In fact the best way to get GurneyGoo off my hands after application is to not try washing it off, but to simply wipe your hands with a dry towel, this leaves my hand feeling protected and dry. Both products contain Tea Tree oil, Blue Steel lists it as the 8th of 11 products on their list of ingredients while GurneyGoo list it as the 4th of 4. GurneyGoo has that pleasant tea tree oil smell when you apply it, it's obvious it has a much greater concentration of tee tree oil than Blue Steel. You can not really smell the oil in Blue Steel. Overall Blue Steel is not the product for someone like myself that does long durations events and often in wet conditions. It may be more for those who do not like the smell of tee tree oil and need a water based product for their skin and are not working out in wet or humid conditions.

If you have any chafing issues this is what you've dreamed of. Even in the gym after working out and sweating for an hour it is still effective. This is now a part of my normal shower routine - after every shower I put this on and I don't worry about the horror of chafing. Other commenters have said there is an odor - I don't smell any odor. It is like a lotion that is not greasy, doesn't get on any clothes. I paid around $16 for it - that may seem expensive but it will likely last a few months and paying $8-9/month to have no painful chafing is 100% worth it. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.

The last two tubes I have bought have split at the plastic crimping end which creates spills and makes it difficult to use ; flaw in packaging. Product is very good but won't be repurchasing.

I can’t believe how well this stuff works! Non-greasy, subtle scent, doesn’t stain, and protects skin for hours.

Blue Steel Sports Anti-Chafe Cream is an excellent product. When I first learned there was such a thing as chafe cream, I read the Amazon reviews and reluctantly chose Blue Steel. I did so reluctantly because at the time it did not qualify for Amazon Prime shipping. After using Blue Steel I was thrilled. I was no longer getting chafed between my thighs after my hour-long workout on my elliptical trainer. I began to use it sparingly so I could avoid paying shipping charges. (Amazon Prime spoiled me quickly with free shipping.) Even using Blue Steel sparingly did not decrease its effectiveness. When the Blue Steel ran out, I again went to Amazon and read reviews. I decided to try Chamois BUTT'r . It was less expensive and did qualify for Amazon Prime. The Chamois worked as well as Blue Steel and is four dollars cheaper than the same amount of Blue Steel. Even though Blue Steel currently qualifies for Amazon Prime, I have remained with Chamois because, well, four dollars is four dollars.
