Fantastic cooker with the worst manual ever. It doesn’t tell you much. I learned much from the other reviews. There are min/max lines on the water tank, but you need a flood light to read it. It cooks the eggs beautifully. I really like the poached eggs.

The product quality is very good. I have only used it once. I will use it more and then give a full review. I will give a full review later.

After trying several models this is really perfect. Small rectangular shape easy to store and VERY user friendly.

I got this device because my previous steamer broke. This egg steamer is nice because I can do eight eggs at once while my previous model could only do six. While that is four short of a dozen I find that generally eight is a good number for me. While there is an egg punch provided I think using it is generally unnecessary and is not really worth the time to actually use. Unpunched, my eggs have been fairly easy to peel. I like hard boiled eggs and have found that for xlarge eggs you will need to leave them in the device while it cools to get them completely finished. I do not mind a little softer but I just wanted to verify that it would work. I have not used the omelet addition and probably never will but it does seem like a nice addition for people who do not want to fry them. There does seem to be other less expensive models on the market but I do not know how well they work. This one has met my expectations and seems like a well made product. I believe that it was priced accurately at 35 dollars and is even better when on sale. Clean up is simple. I do have hard water and just sprayed on some vinegar and wiped off the build up after several uses. When I do need to replace this item I will likely look to get this same model.

This review is for the "Annie & Mia Design Electric Egg Cooker, Stainless Steel 8 Egg Capacity egg boiler, 500W, Hard, Medium, Soft Boiled Egg Poacher, egg steamer, Multi-function, Knob Controled Auto Shut-Off Function"The manual is not great. There's a minimum and maximum line for water on the device, but the manual says "add an appropriate amount of water", and it appears that different amounts of water are needed for different functions.I followed the instructions as written: I poked a little hole in the top of each egg, made sure the water was between the minimum and maximum lines, and set it for hard boiled. The water boiled up onto the eggs, which is fine because they were going to be peeled anyway. It didn't indicate that it was done until it was fully out of water. A good couple of minutes before it indicated it was done, egg whites extruded out of the holes of all of the eggs. They were definitely overcooked. The manual also doesn't explain what the poaching tray is or how to properly use it. As of this writing there's a basic explanation in one of the pictures on this listing, but it still doesn't give good instructions. I gave it a go when I was testing it. I filled it about halfway between the min and max lines, cracked eggs into each of the four chambers, and set it for medium, hoping that the water wouldn't boil up into the top chamber again. It did boil up right into the eggs, and the water ran out before the cycle was done.So it works, but there's a lot of guesswork involved, and I got this so I wouldn't have to do guesswork. I think I'll be able to get good results after some experimentation, though.

This product does what it is advertised to do, but it sure has terribly-written instructions. If you need a product like this one, buy this one, and have yourself a good laugh at the instructions. Thankfully, it is not hard to figure out what to do.

I do like egg cookers, and I have had quite a few. Most were shaped like a, well, like an egg. All were designed with a simple on/off button function. Some played a merry little tune when the eggs were 'done' (when the water had evaporated). All but one turned off automatically (the one that didn't immediately went into the trash bin). All had a measuring device, most with an eggshell piercer, either built-in to the water cup or separate. Most had both the stand for the eggs, or a three-portion cup that allowed one to cook three poached eggs instead of 6-7 (or 12) hard boiled eggs. This is the first one that is relatively flat and rectangular, which I actually like better, and also has a four-egg poacher (I hated having 3-egg poachers, it meant one of us only got one egg). This is the first one that is NOT 'one and done,' i.e., plug it in and it's either on or push the button on and it's on, then it goes off when there's no water, either on or off; this egg cooker actually has SETTINGS! Yep, there is a soft-boiled, a medium-boiled (think jammy egg for shoyu eggs, ramen, mmm), or hard boiled. I have never had that before in any egg machine before, including the Eggory (an omelette machine my dad got me). Wow. Now for the bad: the manual. The manual gives stern warnings that one must READ THIS MANUAL THOROUGHLY before use (I did. Several times). It gives warnings and cautions, 28 of them. It gives very detailed instructions on cleaning before use, and after use. It has a part list (mine says it hasa 100 mL cup, but I think it's actually a bit bigger). It has pictures of the parts that are only slightly fuzzy, and Before Use instructions, and Getting Started; then it has the magic words: "Use an appropriate amount of water." Wait, what? I go back and read the prior instructions again, al 28, and then again...nope, nothing. I finally turn to the last pages and there, on page five under 'Precautions for Use,' line #5, it says to "make sure that the water is between the minimum and maximum levels."I never did find the max/min levels, but working on the principal that the manufacturer wouldn't have given me a 100 mL cup if the cooker couldn't contain it, so that's what I added. For egg cooker newbies: use the egg piercer to poke a hole in the large end of the egg, and then place the egg small pointy end down, the hole should be on top (might want to add these to the manual). Use room temp eggs for best results. This is what I did and I had perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs. I did leave my eight eggs in a few minutes longer that the two minutes after cooking that the manual actually recommends, and I used older eggs, which makes them easier to peel (as does steaming them). I have to say that I am super impressed. There was water left in the bottom of the cooker, something I've never had happen before; I was easily able to simply wipe it out. I also had no nasty smelling gunk cooked onto the heating plate )as a result of the water, I'm sure). I really like this cooker. Half a star off for the lack of an actual measurement for the water (come on guys, "the appropriate amount of water?" Really? Please define your terms), which leaves four-and-a-half stars, round to five. Fix the manual and it'll be an unhesitating five.
