This "mold test kit" consist of 3 individually sealed agar plates, sealed swabs, and basic instruction. All well and good. Open a plate, and either leave it open for an hour to test air quality, or swab the suspicious surface and wipe the swab over the plate. Close the plates and leave them to incubate for ... a while. It can take weeks for some molds to grow.Even if something grows, this test won't tell you if it's Stachybotrys chartarum - the dreaded black mold, or Cladosporium - a black colored mold. Either way, mold is mold, and implies moisture. It needs to be abated, fixed, removed. All mold can cause health issues if there is enough of it. Of course, when it gets to that point, you won't need a test kit like this, you need trusted professionals to identify what you are dealing with.So accuracy - no. Value for money? Well, a fun expriment for the kids, but if your health is in danger, you need more than this.

Not great. I found the instructions to be a bit basic. No explanation of the small plastic bags included (I guessed incubation) and some sort of table for the results would have been useful.

Bought this kit and in the instructions it says you need two kits so you can do one outside and one inside to compare. Also nowhere does it tell you what the results mean.

Unfortunately it worked so well, I had mold growing where I suspected. Just be careful in opening them.

I tested the outdoors to ensure the test was not fault as suggested. I tested the air and also swabbed where I thought there was mold in my bathroom. After 2-3 days I didn’t see anything on any tests. I waited a whole week and then noticed results. I would say these are worth the money but take a little longer to see results which sucks for someone with little to no patience lol.
