Your cart is empty.The Angelus Paints heavily pigmented leather dye is excellent for restoring, customizing and transforming saddles, tack, shoes, belts, purses, wood and more. This paint is also used by gourd artists. The dye will penetrate leather and form a lasting color which will not peel, crack, or wash off.

I ordered tan dye to tone down a pair of bright white leather walking shoes. Fortunately I had an older pair to use as a trial. As I applied this dye it became quickly obvious that what the manufacturer calls tan is really bright yellow. Those shoes got tossed in the trash along with the bottle of "tan" dye.

Here's four dyes shown, from left to right: Brick, yellow, medium brown and the most rightward one, tan. Unlike the other reviewer that received more of a yellow colored tan, I apparently received the orange flavored one they have in stock. Another color found somewhere else that goes by the name "Saddle Tan" appears to be more consistent with the traditional leather color of tan. While the orange does have a "traditional leather" color look (the reddish orange kind), it's definitely not traditional tan and not anything like the other guy's picture on here of "yellow".

To be honest it’s so bad it’s almost comical. Glad I tested it on something I didn’t care about. Boy, it is not tan what so ever.
