This works really well if you understand what it can and can't do. I know some people expect that they can drop this into their pool at a random place and it will guide them to their leak(s). No, this won't work that way. You need to inject the liquid close to the suspected leak points, usually your piping. You can then see if those are the problem. Why I gave this product 5 stars is that it works extremely well: it does not dissolve easily into the water. In fact, I dropped this into a sucction line at the bottom of the pool (with the pump turned off) and I could still see it sitting there after 4 hours! So that way I could find easily which line was the problem. Before buying this product I tried to make something myself, with a food coloring product, that was a bad idea, it dissolved within minutes. So, awesome product and it helped me find quickly the leak in my pool.

Make sure you know how to use it. Are used half bottle trying to find a hole in the pool after which I gave up and bought a new liner you have to have an idea where the hole is and spray small amounts in the area to identify where the hole in the pool actually is

This product worked perfectly - as advertised. Our home ice rink liner developed a leak. A pure white liner with 6-8 inches of water inning 30 degree weather was part of the problem and the size of the surface area made the issue more difficult to address. We added the entire bottle along all 4 edges. We watched and waited for 4 days. The yellow color dispersed and formed a hue in the water but on day four we could see the color reforming and by the end of the day a clear line of color was pointing directly to the cut in the liner. My 13 year old grandson carefully walked in to the water and placed a large piece of liner repair patch over the cut. The water leak was repaired, we refilled the rink and everyone has skated on the ice for the the season.

I did not like the fact that it was green, but it did work. I found the leaks and fixed them. I am happy with the purchase, but it sat in the back room at Amazon's store. Came on time, but got it a month later after purchase.
