Inexpensive battery disconnect.While I don't think my tractor uses any power when turned off (no radio etc), I wanted to ensure no battery drain while not in use. Since I was putting in a new battery and setting up connections for a maintainer/charger I though it would be nice to include a disconnect for periods of non-use or when charging or maintaining the batteryThis fit the bill without spending much money. Well made and fit perfect on standard top battery posts.Can recommend and would buy again.

Good quality but wish I'd ordered key fob battery disconnect because I forget to disconnect these and I have to pop my f350 hood so it's a pain. But these do work fine.

I installed this a while back and at first it was great, twisted to disconnect and reconnect so that my battery didn’t drain on long absences.However- after a while I began having issues with dead battery when the car sat a couple days without operating it. This would be completely random, and I can sometimes align it happening more after recent rainstorms. The “fix” was discovered to untwist and then retwist it, that usually got the battery back to reliability. However, lately it began doing it yet again- the battery light came on after a rainstorm and it would not resolve even after untwisting and then cranking the knob tight, several times. I finally decided to just uninstall this and then the battery light turned off.I can only surmise this is made out of cheap metal that is reacting especially to damp weather. Somehow the metals must be losing the full connection enough to drain the battery and/or throw off the charging. Whatever the cause, I’ve replaced the battery, alternator and starter since putting this on and I consider it a bad purchase.

Used to turn off your battery / save the battery life. It was super easy to install and works as intended! Highly recommend if you want to keep up battery life, but I use it to help me turn off my car (kind of weird but was looking for a specific product since my ignition column is a bit messed up #usedcar)

I have a pickup truck that only gets used a few times a year. Sitting for so long tends to leave me having to boost it to get it still start. Now I just pop the hood and turn the battery off when I park it. It also adds another layer of theft protection

A parasitic battery drain was creating problems in a vehicle - wanting an inexpensive solution I installed the disconnect.My problem / the factory crimps used to maintain component alignment were not tight enough and allowed misalignment to occur. When the knob was loosened off, the component with the bolt hole tilted enough to allow minor contact between the contact surfaces. I loosened off the knob, hit the door lock button and the locks worked, good thing I checked. Easy peasy to fix, turned it on it's side, placed it on the anvil and re-crimped it with a small hammer and punch, totally fine. Do not assume it is disconnected and test before leaving the vehicle. The vehicle I used it on has remote locks, try to open locks, try lights, honk horn, or??? Switch has been installed for 1.5 weeks and as far as I know, all good.regards all

Installs easily on negative (always negative!!) battery post perfectly. Put one on each of my F-350 batteries to quickly disconnect when doing service. So much easier and cleaner than removing negative lead off the post each time!👍
