Before i became an electrician, i was a Auto Mechanic... my car has a phantom power drain and i thought this would help it not die over the weekend. yes i could hunt the problem down but if you know the amount of wiring in a modern car wiring harness than you understand why i just didnt want to undertake that. so i got this, started reading the instructions which consisted of i believe 6 pictures and quick cliff note like instructions. after looking it over, it felt a bit cheaper than i would have liked. that started the red flags, than they wanted to break the positive which im not a fan of because if you short or jump at all you can fry your ESM or any or all of your electronics. over all i just dont think this is quite where it should be in terms of quality or design.

I love this so much! I put it on my pontoon boat because I'm a little bit lazy, and I only have one battery so I was trying to disconnect power without having to lean over the back rail and hit my main battery breaker. I have this in line in between the factory breaker and the battery so I can kill the battery without having to go flip the main switch. The remote works perfect it actually has some pretty good range I tested it from my driveway out to the side of my yard which is about 70 ft and it still turns everything on. I haven't had any issues with it yet but mind you it's only been on a couple weeks and I haven't had a chance to get it out in the water yet so the onshore test is working great and I'm confident it will continue to work fine. If I have any issues though I will update this listing for right now I think it's awesome!

This CNAODUN Remote Battery Disconnect Switch is an interesting idea. I have several older vehicles that I drive infrequently where the "always on" computer, clock, etc. will kill the battery in a week or two. It's pain to have to open up the hood to manipulate a manual battery disconnect switch. So, that is where this device is useful. It draws a very low current and, though it would eventually kill the battery, it draws much less power than the car's electronics do. I can also see usefulness on other devices where I want to physically disconnect the power. I have not tested it. But I think the actual relay will handle higher voltages. I considered using it as a quick disconnect on a 48V solar system I have. The only consideration there is the device's electronics (small wires) cannot be attached to over 14 Volts as they power the RF circuitry. So, you'd need a separate supply to power it. That wouldn't be a problem there, as I have banks of 12-volt batteries making up the higher voltage in series.I would agree the instructions are not the most complate. But it is not difficult at all to figure out how to install. I am only attempting to trigger it from twenty, or so feet away. So, I had no performance issues. It was as reliable as other similar key fob electrical switches I have used and tested. They normally work just fine. In my opinion it is a useful little device at a reasonable price. It's worthy of five stars.

Connected to my boat battery. Instructions don't give much information, but they get you connected. Seems good so far but it has to have juice for it to work, so not sure how much power it pulls, if any, to be able register a signal from the remote. But so far it does its job.(Vine Customer Review of Free Product)

Installation was pretty straightforward to get it to fit were I was happy took a little more time but after installation the relay would open after turning of key on return from my endeavor the relay would have to be closed via remote to start the car some times it would be fine then others the switch would open my wife didn’t like the reliability issue so I returned it I read the reviews and thought that the installation on my have not been done correctly but unfortunately same as other people I moved the pos relay wire directly to the pos pos so no voltage drop due to other draw on vehicle buss think momentary draw would drop the voltage that’s why the relay would open but to no avail I really wanted to work for my tow vehicle but just to unreliable went with a screw style disconnect open and close hood not my preferred method but on daily basis very reliable

I almost sent this product back. The instructions are in broken English and not very helpful. I watched a YouTube video showing an installation and understood it then. It was actually and easy install once you realize you don’t need all the parts in the box. You simply put the relay on the negative battery pole and the run a jumper wire (included) from the relay to positive battery post. It works fine and does exactly what I wanted it to do.

used on a van that had issues with a power draw when no key was in the ignition and the van was off. made it easy to cut battery power so the battery wouldn't drain for temporary fix
