seems to be a great all round cpu, from benchmarks its real close in performance to the 9800x3d that now i wish i didnt buy.

Simply an amazing CPU. Went from a 5600x while keeping the same GPU and the difference in performance was night and day. It does run very hot, and at this point (2025), you might be better off buying the 9700x if it's 10-20 dollars more as I've seen here sometimes.

The Ryzen 7 7700X is an absolute beast. I paired it with a 240mm liquid cooler, and temps stay in check even under load. From heavy multitasking with Power BI, Tableau, Python to gaming in MSFS and X-Plane 12, this chip doesn’t flinch.Boot times are instant, and everything feels snappy—even when I’m pushing multiple apps and a game at the same time. The 8-core/16-thread setup is great for both work and play. This is a really good processor but do keep in mind that this processor is designed to run hot, and 24/7. So it is normal for this to just be a bit warmer than usual. Just make sure you have really good cooling and you'll be fine.

Este procesador superó totalmente mis expectativas. Lo estoy utilizando tanto para gaming como para tareas de desarrollo y edición de video, y el rendimiento ha sido impecable. Las temperaturas se mantienen bastante bien con una buena refrigeración, y el multitasking es súper fluido. En juegos, junto a una RTX 4070, obtengo FPS altísimos sin cuello de botella. Además, el consumo energético está bien optimizado para la potencia que ofrece. Una excelente compra para quienes buscan un CPU tope de gama sin irse a lo extremo.

Dieser Ryzen 7 7700X mit seinen TDP 105Watt mit ebenfalls neuem ASUS Prime X670-P WIFI Mainboard+DDR5 DRAMS+M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD ist schon flott. Ein CPU-Kühler mit 92 mm Lüfter (sei laut Angabe bis TDP130 Watt geeignet) in einem etwas beengten Midi-Gehäuse ist trotz vorhandenen 4 Gehäuselüftern schon sehr grenzwertig, selbst für Nicht-Gamer. Bei einfachem Rebooten, d.h aus einem vorgewärmten Zustand, kommt er bei meiner Autostart-Konfiguration gleich auf 90°C. Prime 95 Stress-Test geht nach nur wenigen Sekunden >90°C und weiter steigend und muß abgebrochen werden. Ein neuer CPU-Kühler mit 120 mm Lüfter muß also her. Gar nicht so einfach, einen zu finden, der von der Bauhöhe passt (max. 152mm möglich). Mal sehen ob es mit dem neu bestellten Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE CPU-Luftkühler (Höhe 148mm) klappt. Ein wenig Bedenken habe ich bei meiner Lieferung nur mit dem Heatpipe-Design, d. h. ob die in der Auflage offen liegenden Heatpipes auch wirklich mit derselbigen gut plangeschliffen sind. Hatte früher mal bei einem anderen Modell dieser Art keine guten Erfahrung gemacht.

This AMD is a big step up for me. Previous desktop was Intel 2 core CPU which failed MS 11 hardware upgrade test. I chose AMD because it seems to run Linux Mint out of the box without issue. The updated system is housed in a old case (ANTEC SX1030) which is handling the cooling (5 80mm case fans plus PS fan) okay, I don't feel hot air out of the case. The only CPU intensive application I have used that bumped CPU temperate to 96C was HandBrake, ran 20 minutes without any problems. CPU temperate hit 96C and stayed there until it finished. CPU fan cooler (DeepCool) being used.

Perfect for mid-range builds. Also part of AMDs legendary socket support. Forget intel (which is all I had for years. I am only a fanboy for what is the best product at the time.). This is the way to go.

RAM - 32 GB 6000 MT @ CL 30 very stable with no issues. Handles overclocking well and with a MOB with good power delivery expect good stability.Graphics - Comes with RDNA 2 integrated graphics, only two cores. Able to run Apex at 1080p low with 44- 63fps. Fortnite at 1080p low 90-120fps. However it will struggle to run more GPU intensive games as it was not designed for that. Keep that in mind as this CPU truly shines when paired with descrete graphics cards.Multitasking - Found it to be fast, stable and able to play games, youtube, stream all at once with zero performance lossCooling- Runs a bit on the hotter side due to its overclocking and high base clock. However with good airflow and an AIO mines remains less than 70 degrees even while gaming. NB this is with less than 60% cpu usage. So expect a further increase in temperature under higher usage.Overall, I m well pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend if you want good performance at a decent price.
