Removed a 30+ year old lug nut. I know my dad (rip) tried to remove this lugnut years ago and failed it was stripped already. Saw a tip on YouTube about these and tried it out. Lugnut was 17 but was rounded so badly 16 worked, hammered it in. Used a 1/2 in Drive 25 inch breaker bar with impact adapter to 3/8 and a 4 foot pvc pipe and worked it off. Did it for you dad! I know he's smiling down on me from heaven!

I bought a 2019 Subaru and the previous had very kindly rounded the oil filter bolt likely because some other genius used locktite on it.The extractor hammered on easily and with a few taps on the impact gun, it was out. No fuss. I will buy these again if I wear these out, which is very unlikely. Great buy for good product with a great price.

I rounded off a 14mm caliper bracket bolt by trying to turn it in the wrong direction-I was tightening it instead of removing it. The bolt was completely rounded off and nothing I had worked to remove it. Vice grips were useless. I received this kit and tapped the 14mm extractor onto the rounded bolt with a hammer. I then attached my socket wrench to the extractor and added a length of pipe for added leverage. The rounded bolt came off immediately. I am completely satisfied and extremely pleased with this kit.

I had a bolt that was completely rounded and could not remove the blade from my mower to sharpen. I had rounded the bolt after a hour of trying different methods including increasing the leverage. These nuts are solid and dug right into rounded bolt. It provided the grip withstanding a lot of pressure from the stuck bolt but it got it off within a minute. Absolutely amazing. The only negative is the light plastic case. It arrived with the dented corner from shipping.

worked as expected and appears to be made well enough for the shade tree mechanic.

Used these to get off stripped lug nuts on my car. Worked perfectly. Had to use the biggest size and hammer it onto each lug nut but got them to come right off. No wear or tear on the sockets after doing 20 of them.

These extractors were positively reviewed on "Project Farm". I decided to give them a chance. These are the only socket extractors I have tried. I live in Michigan, prime salt and rust country.I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7L engine. Both exhaust manifolds were leaking. Each manifold is attached with 4 M8X1.25 studs (13mm head), and 5 M8X1.25 bolts (10mm head). This translates to 18 bolts I need to remove (plus the four nuts holding the exhaust shield to the passenger manifold). The bolts and studs have thread locker on them.I was able to remove all of the 13mm studs without standard tools (8 of 18 problems solved). The stupid 10mm bolts were another story. [MOPAR: PUT A DECENT HEAD ON THESE BOLTS YOU LOUSY @#$@#$^#@$!%@]. Two of the 10mm bolts were broken; the reason for the exhaust leakage. Of the remaining 8 10mm bolts, I was able to remove three with standard tools (11 of 18 problems solved, 2 remaining severe problems). This left me with 5 bolts, four of which had severely damaged heads. With this tool set I was able to remove three of the four damaged bolts quite easily. I tapped the sockets on to the bolt heads, tapped the wrench with a brass hammer, and frequently smacked the extractor sockets back on the bolts heads This worked great. In minutes the bolts came free. The socket extractors gripped the damaged bolts famously (14 problems solved, 2 severe problems). The extractors gripped the fourth bolt as easily as the first three, and SNAPPED the bolt head (14 problems solved, 3 severe problems). The last bolt is the only issue I have with this set. The last bolt head is too small for the 3/8" to grab, but too big for the 8mm. Try as I may, I can't drive the 8mm into the head of the last bolt. The 3/8" spins freely. If this set had a 9mm, I think these extractors would make easy work of it.I drove all of the extractors onto the bolt heads with brass hammers and a large steel drift. I beat the crap out of them. After all the pounding and torque, the sockets look great!I really like this set. I wish they had a 9mm socket, so I didn't have to break out the welder. I guess the welder is coming out for some of the broken bolts anyway, so it's no a big deal.I highly recommend this set. You will not be sorry (unless you need a 9mm)!

Very handy set to have in your tool box, very good quality and don’t deform like some sets.Watched a YouTube clip comparing these against other big names and this set came out on top.
