I needed a 9/16 forstner bit for an important job, chose the Amana to avoid any issues with lesser brand's quality. I've always had great results with this brand (and this seller), but this item was messed up. It arrived in a mint condition blister card, had no signs of use anywhere, just the rough grind on the cutter parts. I shared pics with seller, and spoke with them on the phone, they believed it was a used/worn part someone had returned. But I could not see any witness marks on the shank or the OD of the head, not a spec of evidence it had ever been in a chuck and spun into a workpiece. Appeared to have the original machine oil film on it, not even a fingerprint. Maybe I was shipped a used return part, but if that's the case someone put a huge amount of effort and care to destroy the cutter edges and retain everything else pristine..

The product was as advertised. The drill was a bit rougher than I expected but when put to use it performed great. Did not experience any clogging that might be expected in a drill bit this size.Happy with my purchase.

All the Amana cutting tools I've bought have been top notch quality. Got this forstner for drilling tuner holes in an electric bass headstock, and it worked great.

I gave up on its first hole. Not sharp ,not useful. It started burning in the first eighth inch.

I agree with the 1st review, it's very difficult to use with a hand drill. Must apply a lot of downward pressure to drill a single hole.
