This bit works great and it’s super easy to use. I did not have any issues with it breaking or cutting through the pieces that I needed it to drill with. I would definitely recommend pre-drilling before using a bit this big.

This 1 9/16 steel forstner bit worked well, but had some rough spots from the machining. It cut cherry without burning and left the sides of the hole fairly smooth. The cutting teeth had small wire edges, but less so than other mid priced bits I have had. Filing off the wire edges was quick and easy. It cut a little more smoothly after I filed the teeth smooth. There was another rough spot, but it didn't touch the wood so it didn't matter. The bit had minimal run out if any. I would recommend it.

Looks good and is sharp. Will find out today as have a few bottle opener blanks cut out. If I get a couple hundred cut outs from it before needing a sharpening or lite hone, I'll be happy'
