This is exactly what I wanted. I have a basic M4 MacMini and I had too many external drives that filled all the sockets and covered my desk. I shut down the computer, collected my 2 SSD's and 2 HD's and loaded them into the trays. It took a couple minutes to figure it out the trays and mounting technique. I plugged this gadget into the mini with the provided cable (just one "C" connection for 4 SATA drives), turned it on and "Wham!" everything was perfect. All my drives mounted and functional.There is no objectionable noise. This is an excellent tool, simply packaged and my mac sits on its roof all very cool and content.Thank you Cenmate!

I was surprised at how well-buit this product was. The housing was aluminum and the releases for the hot swapable drives were stylish and functioned well. Recommended!

I like the build for price. I also like the fact that it can be increased modularly.the descriptoin saying "Hard drives making noise during operation, it is not caused by fans. We have tested the decibel level of noise with and without the fan---nearly no difference in decibels. The noise is generated by the hard drive." is 100% false. I haven't even put the hardives in it yet and its lower than my PC with a 1595X and a 2070. (at idle) when my computer ramps up its louder, but there is no reson that a single 2 inch fan should be louder than an entire PC with 7 fans XD On a side note, the there are only 2 little holse for the fan to acutaly pull air though so thats proably why they have the fan running at 100% if they made those holes bigger or made more of them they coudl proably spare running it at a lower speed and graitly reducing its sound. reducing the fan by a mear 10-20% would probably make a huge difference.im going to try and see if i can reduce the sound my self, in some way if i can i will change the review and eddit, but tat this point i see no way of chainging the fan speed and therefor the volume.my baggiest concern is that when i start dazy chaining these they will start to get really loud. anywase in a server sanario this would be totaly fine, or if my PC was located in a more remote portion of the house also. its probalby not any louder than a fridge or freezer when its running. i just don't like that its noisy even at idle

Easy to add large size hard drives. I am seeing PC manufacturers limit hard drive size within the desktops, this product bypasses those limitations. I wish I looked sooner for this external HD case. My fan is quiet.

Gekauft als "gebraucht" im restore,sehr gute Qualität und einfach in Betrieb zu nehmen.Nur Lüfter ist etwas laut. Stört mich aber nicht.

It's nice to have 4 drives in 1 location and it seems to work well, but the FAN could be a lot quieter
