Cheap aluminum, but holds a pin........you have to find the pins that fit.

Overall, the quality of this pin gage handle is good. This size is definitely designed for gage pins in the .032" to .075" range. It is not listed but it is the same size as Vermont or Meyer size #1 (the smallest). The problem is the collets that grip the pins, although this only an interchangeability issue not a quality issue. They are not interchangeable with the most common gage handles in the U.S., such as Vermont or Meyer. The handle will not accept Vermont or Meyer bushings nor will the collets from this gage work in a Vermont or Meyer handle. The end caps are also not interchangeable with any U.S. gage handle being some metric thread. They are a little cheaper than U.S. made gage handles because the collet (bushing) is included, but they aren't interchangeable with the rest of my gage handles. However, if you don't need interchangeability, the quality is pretty good.
