This is an excellent tortilla press. It is cast iron and will last forever! I had to connect the handle but that was no big deal. Excellent purchase.Esta es una excelente prensa para tortillas. Es de hierro fundido y durará para siempre. Tuve que conectar el mango, pero no fue un gran problema. Excelente compra.

It's a good press. The only problem I have is the area at the hinge of the press does not close as much as the area by the handle. These leaves to tortilla's fat on one side and thin on the other unless I use less pressure on the handle. But than they come out just a little too thick.

The press does flatten corn tortillas. It is light duty, the plates are not flat, and the casting is rough. It has been powder coated to make it appear more refined so expect it to chip and rust with normal use. You will need to rotate your dough a couple of times to get a tortilla of uniform thickness.

Disliked that the handle was missing the pin that held it to the cast iron plate .Very important in making the tortillas .Disappointing when you buy something brand new. And it comes broken
