I use this for homemade salsa. I had to decrease the amount from 1 tsp to 1/2 tsp. I use this in canning. Also use this for cleaning stainless steel. This works much better than my last citric acid. Will buy this one again.

I was very happy to find this product for cleaning. It removed the calcium buildup in my toilets overnight. I've also used it for cleaning calcium buildup on faucets (we have very hard water). Works better than commercial calcium-lime removers, and much less expensive. Best to use rubber gloves; it is strong enough to cause mild irritation on hands.

Tenant moved out and the toilet bowl was black while the tank was disgusting. I don't think they cleaned it in 3 years. I wanted to use a non toxic product and read citric acid was effective. Poured 1 cup into the tank and let it sit overnight. It was amazing. 90% of the tank cleared up after flushing which also partially cleaned the bowl. I poured about a half cup into the bowl, let it sit for 2 days, brushed the residue, flushed and it cleaned almost like new. I'll try it on the bathtub next which was also badly stained.

A useful antioxident for food prep or winemaking where it can be used for pH balance in the must as well. Being derived from non-GMO sources is a definite bonus

It was the first time I used citric acid so I don’t have a point of reference.i made ricotta cheese with it and turned out great. I only needed less than a teaspoon. Now I have to look around for a barrel to put the ricotta cheese I will make when I will use the rest of the envelop of citric acid :)

I have nothing bad to report about this product. It is what its supposed to be, the price is right and it makes for a nice home made lemonade when combined with a little drop of cream of tartar and a pinch of Stevia powder extract! The cream of tartar turns into potassium bitartrate when reacting chemically with the citric acid. Add a pinch of salt to it and you've got yourself an electrolyte mix for a fraction of these criminally-priced electrolyte packets. This is great for people fasting or on the carnivore diet who are no longer getting their daily requirement of sodium from pre-made corporate food products. You've gotta add it yourself. Btw.. without electrolytes, we wouldnt be alive.

Purchased this product to make an after-shower spray that dissolves soap and light mineral buildup and prevents spots and streaks on the shower doors. Using it mixed at 3 tablespoons citric acid in a pint of water with a couple small squirts of unscented liquid dishwasher drying agent. (your results may not match mine, our water is medium hard )The citric acid does a nice job of removing minor buildup without the strong smell of vinegar, leaving the shower smelling nice and fresh. Adding the unscented rinse agent makes everything dry nearly spot-free, even chrome. Cost of the solution and a generic household spray bottle is very low per use. No sign of “pink algae stain” since we started this regimen, we had a bit of a battle with it when we first moved in.Nice that this product can be used in everything from old-time photographic printing to food preparation. It is definitely something to have around the house. The resealable packaging works fine for the 1 pound package. It’s very nice to have a non-GMO product for health, ethical or environmental reasons although I do wonder if GMO based citric acid is even available yet this year. For cleaning, it would be nice to have a lesser grade citric acid suitable for cleaning and industrial use for less money.Elsewhere in the world web, non-GMO citric acid powder goes for $1.20 per pound in ten pound quantity. Prime is terrific, but it would be so much better to have this as an add-on for a lot less money.Nice product all the way. Knocking one star for value due to high price. Recommended if you don't mind spending more for a convenient product.

This Citric Acid is a great buy. You get a LOT for a very affordable price. I originally bought this one after searching for a while to get the best deal. I am making bath bombs for several of the people on my Christmas list, and the recipe I follow calls for Citric Acid for the nice effervescent effect that we know and love from our bath bombs.I needed quite a bit, and I was surprised at how expensive this can actually get when you need quite a bit. I was happy to find this and it did the trick! Worked perfectly. I tried out one (truth? I tried out SEVERAL) of my bath bombs and loved the nice fizzy effect. They turned out perfectly!

What a great find I am so happy right now this is one of my favorite things so I got the 1 lb bag it is well packaged the zip resealable bag is heavy so I do not worry there, you can always put it in a jar if you like. I passed my taste taste, yep I know freaky hah? But I am a tartness freakUses1 One time I ran out of lemon juice and really wanted a lemonade so I improvised I dissolved about 1 8th teaspoon of the powder in water with a few drops of lemon oil for flavor this powder gives it the tanginess real lemon juice has. Add ice stir and your in business2 Greasy messes this stuff is my kicking greases butt best bud, mixed with liquid dish soap this zaps the hell out of the nasty grease making cleanup way faster and easier3 Laundry sometimes when we sadly have that frickin doesn't want to leave it's comfy new home aka your clothes hard to remove grime I mix 1 tablespoon of this with laundry soap for 1 load of laundry this gives the soap an extra boost and in most cases doubles the cleaning effect4 As others said yup it also removes rust5 I make soap and once in a while the color is lousy but a few pinches of this I found lightens it, but you should know depending on the amount used it also causes thickening6 Excellent skin cleanser especially for oily skin when mixed with soap and used as a facial wash, in baths and showers, and best of all it is all natural. Well the acid and I have adventures ahead so happy reviewer is gonna go play now, lol and hope this helps
