Works as expected. The app provides a lot of flexibility for monitoring and/or alerts. Subscription required for "history" (recorded events). I highly recommend the solar option that this mounts on to retain battery life. The battery life has been at 95% or higher with the solar option for over 5 months. Video quality is reasonable but not excellent when zooming to see details.

I waited around for someone to help me install this...and decided to just give it a try myself, and it couldn't have been easier! Works great and I know when someone approaches the door, or delivers a package. The only negative is that it "announces" me every time I come and go. LOL Maybe I should change the ring tone so I'm not constantly hearing "Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly."I got just the basic model and it was on sale for a great price - I'm very happy.

The Ring Camera is an excellent choice for home security, offering clear video quality, easy installation, and an impressively long battery life. I was pleasantly surprised by how long the battery lasts between charges, making it a convenient option for those who don't want to constantly worry about recharging. The motion detection works well, and the app is user-friendly, allowing for quick access to live footage and notifications. The only drawback I've noticed is that the camera occasionally has trouble staying connected to WiFi, even though my router is close by. While it's not a constant issue, there have been times when the connection drops unexpectedly. However, when it’s working, the camera delivers reliable performance and peace of mind.Overall, this Ring Camera is a great investment for anyone looking for a battery-powered security solution, with just a small hiccup in connectivity that could be improved.

Working with Alexa the doorbell yells that someone is at the front door all over the house. Work very well and the camera is excellent.

Gives a sense of security as any action at my back door (even in the alley) sends the notification to my phone. I pay 4.99 a month to have the videos stored for up to 6 mo. Pretty inexpensive security. Mine is battery operated (not wired) so the only drawback is that I have to remove the doorbell & keep it inside during very cold weather. It will not work properly in sub zero weather. I am looking forward to putting it back out this weekend when it warms up. I would highly recommend this doorbell especially if you cannot hard wire it. It has a good battery in it & was easy to program to my iPhone.

This review is for the RING NO DRILL MOUNT (purchased separately) and the RING VIDEO DOORBELL.This is my second Ring battery doorbell, and I must say the adhesive mount is impressive. I used the small screws provided with the adhesive mount to attach it to the bracket that came with the doorbell. After that, I clicked the doorbell onto the mount and placed the entire setup on my front door. The adhesive is strong and secure! The doorbell functions perfectly. I feel safer in my apartment and am able to prevent package theft as well. I LOVE RING doorbells!

I got the Ring doorbell to replace a Google doorbell that was installed by ADT as a "free gift" for purchasing ADT. That Google doorbell was horrible. The doorbell was wired to my house making it difficult to remove to charge. The Google doorbell would buffer often, wouldn't work when the weather was cold and would often tell you to retry when trying to load it on your phone. But this isn't about the Google doorbell. It is about the Ring which I found more Superior in every way. A friend installed it in less than 5 minutes. I find the quality of the videos are very clear. The range of view (panning) is much wider. There's so much more I have to learn since I haven't had it very long. I'd highly recommend.

Unfortunately I was unaware that you need to pay a yearly subscription for the ring doorbell to work properly.

I’ve had the Ring Battery Doorbell for a few months now, and it has completely transformed the way I secure and monitor my home. As someone who values both convenience and safety, this doorbell has been a game-changer in terms of functionality, ease of use, and peace of mind.First, the installation was incredibly straightforward. I was able to set it up myself in about 20 minutes, thanks to the clear instructions and the fact that it's wire-free. The battery lasts surprisingly long too, even with regular motion detection and video use. I’ve only had to recharge it a couple of times, and the process is quick and easy. The video quality is excellent—crystal clear even in low light, which is essential for those early morning or late-night deliveries. The wide-angle lens gives a clear view of who’s at the door, and the motion detection feature is spot-on. I get instant alerts on my phone whenever someone is approaching, and I love that I can see and speak to visitors directly through the app. Whether I’m at home or out running errands, I can easily communicate with delivery people or guests, which is great for convenience and security.Another feature I love is the two-way audio. The sound quality is surprisingly clear on both ends, and I’ve been able to have full conversations with delivery drivers, neighbors, and even the occasional solicitor. The built-in siren also offers an added layer of security—if I ever feel unsafe, I can sound it directly from the app.The Ring app itself is intuitive and user-friendly, with everything you need in one place. You can review video clips, adjust settings, and even link it with other smart devices for an integrated security system. It’s so easy to use, even for someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy.In summary, the Ring Battery Doorbell has exceeded my expectations. It’s reliable, easy to install, and provides real-time alerts that help keep my home secure. The video quality and two-way communication make it stand out among other doorbell cameras, and I feel much more confident knowing I can monitor my doorstep from anywhere. If you're looking for a high-quality, user-friendly doorbell camera that doesn’t require complicated wiring, this is definitely worth the investment!

Great unit with a decent picture and plenty of setting adjustments to make it right for you. I do prefer the removable battery model, which is so convenient to recharge. I keep a second battery charged so there is virtually no down time and it’s a two minute job to change. As well. with a Ring solar charger, the battery changes only happen in winter for me as the sun is not on the doorbell then.I have a Basic subscription for the doorbell but I think the fact that if I wanted to add a home camera to the system I’d have to pay 3 times the cost for a Ring Plus subscription is simply outrageous. I’ve just got some TP-Link Tapo internal cameras instead, which I can view live and they have SD card for recording.
