Easy to configure via Ring App. I use 2 extenders, one for the front part of the house and another for the rear, yard, etc. Just plug, setup, and enjoy a perfect coverage of every alarm sensor.

I used these to extend the range of the base station so that exterior cameras will work. I live in a single story wood frame, stucco house and when an exterior device is more than 15 ft away from the base station, the reception becomes intermittent and spotty. They should be made to be waterproof, since they are most effectively placed in nearby outside wall plugs.

Having spotty areas within our household has definitely been a toll on the ring alarm system - but adding this was worth it! The basement area has definitely improved - the range extender improves the signal strength and reliability of some door and windows sensors in my basement. The only "headache" that you may have to deal with is in the pairing process and where to find an adequate outlet for best results - Once I moved the extender to a different power outlet to a few power outlets in the household, they have been providing steady connections without constant alerts of the ring system dropping signals to the sensors.Being such a low profile, I was able to hide these behind certain furniture and shelves to keep these from being an eye-sore to the overall aesthetics for my home. Would recommend adding these if you're experiencing any dropouts on connections!

Some of the reviews said were not able to add range but it was perfect for what I was doing. I have the Ring alarm system and a large number of sensors. I was able to use the range extender to get to a door to a second structure I have on the property that is about 25-30' away. I did have to put the extender in an enclosed outlet on the outside corner of the home vs. inside. The signal goes from the alarm base station to the range extender outside and is then able to get 25-30' to the inside of the door. Note one of the complaints people had is not seeing the range extender in the list for ring. You have to go to: Setup device, THEN SECURITY (vs. the extender being in the list). Once hit SECURITY in the dropdown will show range extenders. Second quick note is I originally added both the extender and the new door sensor before took out to the final locations. I tested the door sensor with the door closed to make sure was seeing the security system and worked well. I would say I am pretty close to the end of the range with the extender. As stated above I also used an outlet that is enclosed on exterior of home so was able to get the signal to the sensor. Due to heavy duty Florida construction if had the range extender inside I was not able to reach the sensor. When moved it outside the alarm base station could keep the connection to the range extender AND the door sensor 25-30' away could see the extender.

All my ring equipment has a strong wifi signal. I up dated the flood spot light and it's in front of my driveway. I put this extender as close as I can and connected the spotlight to it. The signal is poor. But everything else is strong. I think the spotlight cam HD is trash. I had better connections and video with the older light.

I have a detached garage 150 ft from my house that has ring alarm sensors. I bought two of these range extenders because my signals are very weak from the garage, I put one literally in the garage and one in the house as close as I can get to the outside garage.Had them plugged in for two years now and they have done NOTHING to help with the range. Spent hard earned money on these and don’t want to throw them out so they stayed plugged in hoping one day an update or some Miracle happens and they start working for the first time.Disappointed as these have potential to solve alot of peoples problems if they work. The only indication they do anything is simply saying “online”. Why not say what devices they are helping or if they are reaching any? This seems to be a fail by Ring engineers.

Necessary if using Ring in a larger home. Mine is 1625 sqft on the main floor and need 2 of these to get “good” signals to all the sensors. Does not help with my wifi ring door bell 3 which sits about 10 feet away from a WAP and still gives me weak signal issues.
