Works most of the time. It’ll open the garage door out of nowhere. The app will not open the garage door. I’ll have to manually power cycle the y to to make it work again. This happens more than 3 times a month. I’ve called for support and they are out of untits. Will not send you a new one but promise to give you a gift card that you never get.I would not recommend it

The app is very confusing. Anything you click on will tell you to upgrade. DO NOT UPGRADE TO PAID PLAN. Free gives your both 24x7 or Motion Recording fine!! You must click VIEW PLAYBACK to view free events, and use to skip to next event. ⭐Camera Picture/Video Quality 10/10. ⭐Installation Process 8/10 (could be better documented or allow users to share photo of install for their model), ⭐Operation w/ Google 10/10. ⭐App Interface 3/10 (numerous features doubled up, constant requests for upgrade, etc). FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITHOUT UPGRADE!

Really impressed by this product. For this price getting a garage opener and a cam is pretty good. The camera resolution is very good and adequate. Notifications do not lag that much which is good. Will definitely recommend Wyze products and this garage opener+cam.

I was on the fence on this. To me, Wyze was a brand I don't know, and I wasn't sure how good a QR code would work for this purpose. I'm here to tell you that it's just amazing. In fact, it's so good, that I am going to take a serious look at their other products and do some upgrading.I had a beam module which worked fine EXCEPT I had to change batteries 3 times a year. This is absurd to me. Every time I changed batteries I would get annoyed by it. I caught the Wyze one on sale and thought I'd give it a try. Instead of a door sensor, it uses a QR code and a camera mounted by the opener.For the install:I just used the 3M sticker thing on the base of my opener, put on a metal plate to the sticker and the camera magnetically mounts to that. It's easy and convenient. Clean the base first where the sticker goes (I used a degreaser spray and then water to rinse it off, then alcohol just to be sure it was super clean). The rest of it I was able to strategically wrap and wind the existing metal brackets and position it nicely behind the opener. The QR code I just put it somewhere near the middle, but not right behind the car in case I want to open the trunk as to not block it. It probably doesn't matter that much but that's what I did.I only had one issue with the app install, which I'll detail here in case it helps anyone else. I did the QR calibration, and it was successful. However I was not seeing any notifications for open/close. I tried a few things (being new to it) without luck. What did work, however, is I reset services and restarted the camera. That was it. No big deal. So if you find it isn't working quite right after QR calibration, just go in the app and do that.Image Quality: The image is amazing. Low light... really amazing, I was surprised to see good image quality with color even in low light. I haven't tried out the total dark yet, I'll try to update once I do.(Update: enabled the Near distance IR Auto, super clear b&w image in pitch darkness)Build Quality: It isn't as heavy or sturdy feeling Google camera. It's very light. It doesn't feel cheap or anything, but definitely doesn't have that weight the my other cameras have. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but as long as they last I'm fine with it. The nice part to this is that they are easier to mount and less bulky.Other?Features are really nice, rivaling or maybe even better than my Google cams. The image quality definitely seems better. The app is so much faster than nest or google home. The connect time on the camera... also super fast. When I bring up the app, the image is just there right away. No waiting on buffering and all that. Really impressed by that, too.I've been down on Google's cameras lately as I feel like Google isn't even trying anymore. The newer Google cameras aren't really any better than the old ones (I have both). I feel like the only upgrade was they could make them cheaper for more profit. The Wyze ones are seriously nice and I am really considering cleaning house and dropping all my Google cameras and replacing them with Wyze. It's considerably better overall.

Amazing this has been such a great product. So easy to install and maintain. I recommend this product if you wish to check your garage door is shut and or get alerts when it has been opened or closed.

The installation was not difficult. I had to connect the opener controller to my ancient Craftsman garage door opener, mount the camera (and ensure that electric outlet space was available) and then paste the giant QR code to the garage door.I purchased the Wyze Garage Door Opener for two reasons:1) control my garage door with my Google Smart home devices.2) notify me if my garage door is left open for some time1. When I first started this review perhaps 6 months ago, the Wyze device was incapable of determining whether the door is actually open or closed. This has apparently been addressed as can be seen in the screen shot from Google home. I haven't yet tested whether I can now asked Google to Open my garage door if it's already open. The Wyze app has always worked as an effective remote garage door opener but a simple button widget for my android screen would be nice rather than the 3 or 4 steps I have had to go through to control the garage door. Of course, effective Google integration would also address this. I'll amend this review tomorrow if it is already there.2. I can set up alerts for the camera to detect motion but despite being connected to the switch of my garage door opener, this app does not keep track; it only knows how to "flip" the switch. In any case no simple close/open state change notification exists.The cameras detect when the garage door is open or closed. However, the app also identifies lights turning on and off as "motion". I have automated lights in my garage which also detect motion and turn on and then turn off again after a set amount of time. Every time the lights turn on or off, the Wyze "smart" camera alerts me that motion was detected. 7 out of 10 of the daily events identified by the Wyze camera are lights turning on and off.The original mobile app also lacked the ability to delete multiple events or event delete a single event without viewing the event details making the sleeping feature annoying as well as ineffective. The developers have addressed the issue of editing multiple events and this is no longer a problem.I am quite satisfied with the Wyze garage controller. I'm also pleased to see that the company is investing in the application and the device with the result that the controller is now more effective than it was when I picked it.I recommend this device.

I been looking for a garage door opener to monitor and see my garage door for a long time. I bought this as soon as Wyze released this product. Having installed 2 Wyze thermostats successfully and I’m been impressed with Wyze product quality, ease of installation and use; this was a no brained purchase. Wyze was right on again with the garage door opener. It did not disappoint. Quality is awesome and it was easy to install and it worked with my existing garage door opener.Installation took about 45 minutes, a little longer than I expected but it was easy. It took me a little while to get the wiring from the signal receiver to the garage door opener correct. Once I had the wire matched correctly, it worked as expected. The image quality is good. I can check any time to see if the garage door is closed or open. No more worrying about the garage being closed after you leave.We’ll worth the money. Wyze products are very well priced compared to other products. Wyze products offer the same or more features as other well know brands but cost much less. All my Wyze products work flawlessly and have never had an issue with the product. Highly recommend this garage door opener.
