The PowerAid was developed to enhance your vehicle's off-idle to mid-range performance and efficiency. The unique "Helix Bore" design of the PowerAid creates a spinning action of the incoming air. As air passes through your throttle body, this helical effect causes the air molecules to organize and maintain high velocity. The organization and high velocity of the air is extremely beneficial because it helps to provide a superior atomized mixture of fuel and air all the way into the combustion chamber. The benefits you will see are tremendous torque gains between 800 to 2500 RPM, and potential increases in your fuel economy, depending on driving conditions. PowerAid Throttle Body Spacers are proudly made in the USA and come with our Lifetime "No Hassle" Warranty!

Very satisfied with this purchase, money well spent. Very easy to instal, I installed mine in a 5.3L vortec Chevy silverado in approximatly in 25 mins. When removing the throttle I noticed my truck had a throttle spacer already, much thicker than the airaid. I was not getting that well of MPG and now that I installed the airaid it really made a difference, my MPG went from 14.5 to 18 mpg on city now time to drive highway see what I get... I would totally recommend this product

quality of product is great.Easy install even if you have never turned a wrench in your life.( follow the step by step instructions)like everyone else says it does improve low end power and gas mpg.The only thing you have to do is if you are using your factory intake you need to trim the fan cover just a little with a blade. waiting on my airaid cold air intake so we will see how they work together

Ok, so I ordered it this morning, chose same day local delivery, got it around 5 hours later and installed it. It really is an easy install as long as you take your time and work slowly. Now a little info on my truck. It is a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ext cab with the 5.3L engine. The truck has 200K miles on it and for obvious reasons has become slightly sluggish ( tired old engine). After finishing the install I took her for a test drive. And let me tell you.. I was a little skeptical about a power increase but this thing has amazing throttle response now. Just the slightest touch of the pedal and the power is there. MUCH better than stock. I dont know what change in mpg is yet but will update this once I know.As far as the "whistling" sound goes... Its really not bad at all. I actually like the sound and wish it was a little more noticeable as you can barely hear it around 1,500 rpms. All in all this was a great buy for the price ($89) and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. One thing to note... the picture shows 2 gaskets... well it only comes with 1 gasket, which is placed between the Airaid and your throttle body. The original gasket (o-ring type) stays where it is and seals between the intake and airaid spacer. So keep that in mind when doing the install. No need to removed your old gasket but make sure you don't damage it during the process.

i purchased this air-aid product for my 2004 gmc sierra 5.3.i had only minor issues installing. the instructions provided worked fine, considering i am familiar with most components under the hood. it was a little tricky getting the gasket to lineup and stay in place. i strongly suggest you install on a cold engine, in my situation it was warm/hot, i had very few other options.my vehicle also has an after market k&n cold air intake, during the re-installation of the intake and issue was discovered where i had to trim the radiator fan housing about an inch, very easy fix. i imagine this could be an issue with stock intake on some models. over all i was very pleased with the install process and the product quality. i would like to say i noticed a difference in performance, but i am not one to mash on the gas...very often. i think this is a great performance accessory when used with other components like after market intake, headers, exhaust, chip.

Application for this spacer:2004 Chevrolet Tahoe5.3L Flex-fuel L59 engine (stock)Regular unleaded gasolineI am always skeptical about products that aren't reviewed or if I haven't heard how well they work. This spacer worked perfectly and you could absolutely feel and hear the difference. Of course this isn't meant to go from mild to wild, but enough increase in take-off power to definitely be noticable. Nothing yet on the fuel economy since I just put it on yesterday. The directions are very simple to follow. I am mechanically proficient and have worked on cars for over 30 years, though this is my first time working on a throttle body. It is stated that you can install this in less than 1 hour. That is probably true if you have done this before and you are particular about taking your time. It actually took me about 2 hours (short smoke breaks and trying to find a bolt I dropped in the engine).Installation caveats:1. It states you don't need to remove the throttle body, but it makes it easier if you do.2. If you remove the throttle body or the coolant hose to the intake manifold, you will leak a lot of coolant. Not a big deal, but one that should be noted.3. I was a bit confused on the instructions when it asked if it was an electronic throttle body (one without cables). I called and was straightened out immediately. There is a difference between a cable and it being electronic. I guess I wasn't thinking. If you have a metal cable (not wires) that opens and closes the damper, then it is not electronic. If you have a plug that fits in the side of the throttle body, then it is electronic. [I guess I wasn't comprehending the difference between a cable and just wires].4. Remember not to overtighten the bolts.5. Even though a gastket is included, don't damage or remove the gasket already on the manifold.Good luck and trust me the install is really easy.
