Excellent product. Received late, though.

Works great. Love that you can adjust the amperage.

A little on the spendy side but a great product in that it (apparently) automatically adjusts amperage not to your (maybe not ideal preset) setting, but to the line voltage and/or your car battery's specific needs. The 120 volt plug-in when visiting friends is great because regardless of your preset amperage setting it will not charge or draw over 12 to 14 Amps on a 120 volt three prong house wall plug. To control charging speeds, being able to adjust the various amperage's when on 240 volt settings, I also very much like. Also showing what your ACTUAL charging voltage is and amperage rates are is a great feature. I do wish the device holder and the cord holder would come in two pieces. I had to cut mine, drill mounting holes, and locate the cord holder away from the device. In cold weather, any heavy duty electrical cord is a pain to coil. Also liked the 30' (not 32' cord option). If this charger holds up, which I think it will, it will be a great find.

Did a lot of research and opted for this one. Well, it's plug in and charge, the charger starts and the car does the rest. Hanger is very high quality (not plastic but metal, keeping the charger in place) with easy instructions on how to fit and the cable length limits stretching. The hanger and screws (vertically positioned) for easy placement on single stud (we just drilled a few pilot holes then popped in the supplied screws). There is also a neat holster around the top of the hanger that the charging cable loops round on to so that storage is flush to the wall. We bought the high-power version and had it professionally installed. We got lucky since we had a spare slot on the breaker. He put the AEFA 40amp version on the required50Amp breaker. We went down this route since despite spending $56k at the dealership our Genesis only came with a level 1 EV charger (go figure!) so we upgraded to this level 2 EV charger. We are getting fast charging rates with the car charged in about 6.5 hours and we set the car to charge between midnight and 6am (although the product does have a delayed charging function, we prefer to use our car’s app to set charging). Here is what we liked:- 1. Current power was well matched to our Genesis2. About 8x faster than the level 1 supplied charger3. No app needed, super simple4. Quick to install5. Intuitive user interface6. Clear green oval trace light so you can see it is charging7. Nice accessories Would be nice if it had some kind of connectivity but we get all the data off the car app.

I had an available NEMA 14-30 outlet and my Escape PHEV is limited to 16A so this was an ideal solution. The led information display is basic but adequate. I just use the FordPass app to see the charging details anyway. The animated LED lighting is nice and gives charging status visible from a distance.I got the 32 foot version which gives me good reach to the vehicle so I can either back in or pull straight in and still reach easily. The included travel case is really nice looking and excellent quality. The only thing that could be better is the length of the short cord from the NEMA outlet to the charge unit. Due to the height of my outlet I needed to come out horizontal to the ground. This means that in order to use the included mounting bracket (very sturdy) I had to actually install it upside down. Not a huge deal since I don’t need to read the lcd screen but would have been solved if that cord was a little longer. Also because it is upside down I can’t use the cable storage feature on the mount.Overall pleased with the charger.

I see other higher amperage chargers selling for less and if I had a 50amp 240 circuit, I would have bought something else.I only have a 14-30 (30amp) house plug and until I upgrade my house panel, this is what I have. My car maxes out at 16A but I wanted to have the highest my circuit could support if a visitor plugged in a higher rate car but also not causing the circuit wouldn't overload. I saw some chargers that could be set via software but I didn't want to worry about a power outage or software update resetting to factory. This unit maxes out at a safe 24amps no matter what and came with the 14-30 plug.It has a display for Amps and voltage available, output amps and kWh which is nice to verify. The holder/hook is heavy duty and the case is better than I expected and since this is now mounted on my wall I'm going to use the case for my 110v 10a travel charger and roadside emergency kit.My only wish is that the plug side cable was longer, it's only about a foot long, so without an extension, it's limited for mounting locations.

So I tested this on my 2023 Chevy Bolt. It works perfectly with the internal connection with the car. If you have a Chevy bolt EV, I highly recommend it.

I have had this unit for about 3 months now. So far it has worked reliably in different environments (outside, with rain, inside garage, with generator use). I like the ability to choose the amperage depending on the circuit you are plugging into. I bought and fabricated different adapters in order to be able to use this charger with different outlet configurations from 30 to 50 amps. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I bought the 32' version, and once you remove it from the EXTREMELY tightly packed carrying case, you basically cannot get it back inside. It was tightly bound and tie wrapped to get it to fit into the case by the manufacturer. Once you remove it the first time, it is a HUGE chore to try to get it back inside I am now looking for a larger carrying case to replace the one supplied by the manufacturer. Too bad, because it is a nice case, but just way too small for the charger (at least for the 32' cable).

Bought this charger for our new Hyundai Ioniq 5 and VW ID.4. We wanted a faster charging cord to keep the battery topped off. Our Hyundai Ioniq 5 is charging much faster with this 240-volt 14-50 J1772 EV charger and we don’t have to wait in line at commercial chargers anymore! It is a 40 amp 9.6 kWh EV charger so faster than some of the other EV chargers that are 32 amp, so it is about 20% faster. It is IP 67 waterproof, which is higher than other chargers, which are IP65 or IP66. The cable is also a bit longer than a few others we looked at so we can park anywhere and still reach the charger. We are happy with the quality of the charger and it looks very well made with rubber gasket protectors on both ends of the charger box to protect it. LED displays charging status, charging time, rated current etc. so works fine.It is nice that the EV charger is portable, as we wanted a charger that we could carry along too and the charger comes with a high-quality, hard shell carry case. Check the zipper portion for the nice accessories. The installation and set-up went smoothly. Basically two screws to put the charger mount on the wall which has a hook also for the cable. The manual covers the bases. We had a follow-up question and we found the AEFA EV chargers customer service team with a quick google search and they were quick to respond and give us the answer we needed. The response was fast and easy to understand
