Decent but gets squeeky after use just like the regular controller. The D-pad is a big improvement for me over the regular controller. This may be just because I'm use to the nintendo D-pad

I have had many 360 controllers and let me tell you, Microsoft has finally found perfection. I have had this controller for months now and have seen no flaws in performance. I have read some people have had problems with the battery-well cracking or breaking easily. I would simply chalk that up to them not taking care of their equipment as I have never had that problem with controllers I took care of.The D-Pad has been improved as well as the rubber on the thumb-sticks. The D-pad seems to protrude a little more than the old ones did but that is not a bad thing. Its prominence makes it more accurate. The rubber on the thumb-sticks seems a little more concave than the old ones and also those 4 dots that usually wear down over time are gone. I think this doesn't make a huge difference but may seem slightly more ergonomic to some gamers. As far as looks go, the blue-lit home button is a nice addition and separates this controller from the normal green ones. Also I was skeptical when I found out most of the controller is translucent because I'm not a fan of seeing the guts of my electronics. However, the translucency of the controller adds even more character to its design and isn't an eye-sore at all.(On an unrelated note, I wish the Xbox One had stayed with this design.)

Blue LED, see through body, cool design.... but one of the shoulder buttons broke after a month and a half. Had to send it in to MS (which you pay for) then waited about 2 weeks to get it back. Funny thing is I bought it to replace an old pad that had the same issue this one developed in a month and a half. Hopefully the replacement lasts.

I have had 4 of these controllers in 1 month. the 2 that came with the system and the replacements shipped to me by amazon. the battery packs don't stay attatched. the xbox 360 doesn't notice them. the buttons stick after the first time of being pressed. they fall apart like they were made by 5 year-olds in a taiwanese sweat shop!!!! this really sucks because i bought this limited edition xbox 360 halo set thinking it would be a cool replacement for my beloved elite which i had to sell when i moved to europe. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!!! i have never regretted a purchase so much in my life. both with the controllers and with the cheaply made system. stay away from these limited edition items like your life depends on it!!!! get the original xbox 360 controllers that aren't made with cheap glad tupperware plastic.

I bought this for my wife, without really going out to look around. The controller is fine, but I could heave saved myself some money by purchasing it at store instead.

purchased this controller at just shy of 3 months ago and when I first started playing with it, I was impressed. Not even 2 months later, I started to notice that the b button was slightly sticking; and no, I didn't play it with food on my hands or spill anything on it. Now, here I am at the 2 and a half month mark and I am back on here to order another controller, just not this one. the b button sticks every time now for a second and the a button is starting to do the same thing while making a weird sound when I push it. Very disappointed, since I truly liked the aesthetics and smooth feel to it, unlike the matte finish of the new black controllers. I know not everyone will run into this with theirs; but I guess that I was one of the unlucky few. Also, I did use the q-tip and alcohol to clean around the button thinking that it might help, like it's done with other controllers, to no avail. looks like I just received a poor product.

Really happy I got it! Looks great and feels great. It's nice smooth and brand new. Definitely worth it, unless, of course, you find it at a better price.

Der Controller ist an sich schön vom Design, jedoch hat er nicht sehr lange gehalten. Haben von dieser Art zwei bestellt und hatten auch bei beiden das selbe Problem. Meiner Meinung nicht für den täglichen gebrauch geeignet.

Very similar to the standard but the weight is slightly different also the Dpad can be used as a circle which is a must for some games like GTA and HALO. This is a comfortable gamepad that can take a beating. I bought a second one shortly after and some to gift for friends. Highly recommended.

I'm pleased with the controller, it looks nice, has cool design on it, has blue LED lights around the home button, and is just a solid controller, just like all official microsoft controllers. the loss of star is the fact that these things are just way too expensive, very little goes into making these controllers, and the game industry charges ridiculous prices for extremely simple electronics, and then charges an extra 20 dollars on top of that if you want to actually have a battery... good quality, but for what they charge the thing should be gold plated, that isn't anything against the seller, it comes from microsoft. Still, that being said, official controllers seem to be the only ones that function well and thus make it worth the inflated price.

When I ordered this I definitely didn't think I would write a review of it, I mean one official Microsoft 360 controller is the same as the next right? I have been using the for 5 years since it came out. I used that controller almost daily in that time and it has since worn down the analog stick ridges and is developing analog drift. With that in mind this controller is amazingly better it seems. I love the texture on analog sticks (probably personal choice) and the resistance on the analog sticks feels just right. It also has the special edition d-pad, however haven't used it much yet.Now for the looks. I didn't realize it was translucent until I opened it and it really looks good. The ring of light LED makes a nice glow inside. Also I somehow just like the blue ring of light better than green. It is just a really nice looking controller, not too much just different and unique. Is it worth it to get this if you have a perfectly good 360 controller already and spend the extra $15-20, probably not. However, if you are a Halo fan and like me your current controller is getting old this is definitely a nice choice.
