I was having a hard time finding flea meds to use. Our indoor cats have not had issues for YEARS. But some rogue fleas blew up and we had to knock them out. We put these on everyone and gave a capstar and it worked like a charm. Best I’ve used in awhile. Opening them took some getting used to but I may just be dumb so read the directions or risk it all over your hands. Not had an issue since.

Will never use this product on my cat again!! Burnt the back of his neck. Hurt so badly that he ripped his hair out in the back of his neck!! It was awful and I felt horrible.

Applied this to my 3 cats about 4 days ago and it appears to have worked! No signs of live fleas on the short haired ones anymore and no side effects to speak of which is great because I was worried about skin irritation from trying a new product. It was easy enough to apply once I realized you didn't have to take the cap completely off and I'm pleased that you only have to apply it once every two months as I am forgetful. My only complaint is that it has been four days and my long haired cat (pictured) still has funky gunky residue on their fur. I applied it at the base of their skull per the instructions and the goo seems to have settled into their hair and is now collecting dust. This is less worrisome for me as my cats don't groom each other but if you have bonded cats this may be a problem as you don't want them ingesting the product. Cleaning it off of my cats neck will also be an issue because washing a cat is a perilous task.

I used it on two cats and in both cases, it didn't fully take care of the fleas. Although they were mostly reduced- I'd say 75% less fleas, I'll be going to go back to Advantage II. Although not fully effective, the XD still takes longer to wear off, so the cats have had to wait an extra month before it's safe to give them any other treatment. That bums us all out.

This works a lot better on my cats then the traditional 4 weeks one. I noticed it does seem to last about 2 months! It's definitely worth the money I spent. Flea control has been excellent so far. Also it works about the same speed as the regular flea topical.I haven't noticed any side effects but pleas make sure your kitties don't lick the treatment.

Caution!!! Don’t buy this product!!!!!We usually get a subscription from the vet during flea season, just in case. Our indoor cat hasn’t really needed it, up until now. Mochi somehow got fleas?!!! Unfortunately the subscription ihss expired.Mochi would scratch every once in a while, but we noticed it was a bit more than a usual itch or scratch to get to certain spot. So, we decided we will get an Advantage brand flea treatment (non/prescript) because we had pre-used a(different type) Advantage in the past and it worked pretty good, and it’s better to use it than nothing at all at least until we can go to vet.We purchased Advantage XO which was an advanced/improved version of previous product I had bought but, with an treatment extended for 2 months use in just in one dose.. save money sounds great,, and after reading reviews the customers had claimed that this product worked well. So we ordered it.We applied Advantage XO to our cat- hoping he will have some relief, and control the fleas. In just minutes after applying on the back of our cats neck, he started itching & scratching even more. he would walk and suddenly he was falling/ plopping himself down quickly on floor in order to scratch/bite where the fleas were. He was making a noise as if sucking/chewing on his skin to be rid of his discomfort. I have never heard him do that and made me keep an eye on him. It made me feel a bit worried. We had thought okay the fleas must be scattering/freaking out- so it must be working. My cat had a hard time that night scratching more than ever. I felt sorry for him.The next day it seemed like maybe it was slowing down he wasn’t scratching like previous day. I thought wrong he started scratching not as crazy but consistent. In the end it seemed to make the fleas worse if possible I don’t know?! But I do know I will never buy this again. I don’t want my cat to suffer or see what I did as a reaction to this flea treatment. I wasted my money, and in the end, I didn’t help him to feel better. Decided to go to the vet, much safer.
