Works great even with multiple cat household, especially if the cat doesn't like collars.

I remember the days when frontline worked unbelievably well. Well when that stopped working I tried this because I had tried all of the expensive brand names and nothing was working to kill the fleas.I have two (strictly indoor) Persian cats. However, we have neighbors that (obviously) do NOT take care of their dogs properly and ended up with an infestation of fleas and possibly lice (or very elongated fleas?).My cats were infested!! I can only assume we brought them in the house on our clothes and shoes every time we walked from the outside in.Anyways, I figured this was cheap enough to give it a go and if it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be out another 45 bucks.Well SURPRISE SURPRISE! IT WORKED!It killed every single flea and egg as well as the lice (or whatever the heck those things were). I’m not exaggerating here… it killed EVERYTHING within a few days. This stuff is amazing for the price and I would highly recommend it when everything else is failing for your (indoor) cats. Now, I can’t speak to whether or not it would work for outdoor cats … but it definitely was and is a 5 star in my book and will continue to be as long as the formula stays consistent and they don’t change it!Just buy it! Don’t think twice when all else fails and it seems like the fleas are immune to the expensive brand name vet formulas.

I have been buying this for at least 2 years and up until this month I've loved it. I used it when I got it this time and it hasn't controlled the fleas, he constantly itches and the quality just isn't like in the past. Easy to put on but did not work.

I love this product. I had been using a much more expensive flea medicine on my two cats for years and wanted to see if there was something less expensive available that would work as well. After a couple of trials and errors, I bought the Sentry Fiproguard. Not only was it a fraction of the price of what I had been using, but my cats tolerate this product much better. They used to run away when I opened the applicator of the original product and then felt sluggish and unwell for about 24 hours after application. The Fiproguard doesn't get a negative reaction from them, and there is no negative physical effects at all. And most of all.....I have been using it for a year or so now, once a month, and there has been no sign of fleas or ticks at all, even though I live in Florida where fleas are a problem year round. My cats don't go outdoors, but they spend a lot of time in the screened pool area and have gotten fleas there in the past, which is why I treat them each month. I am so happy that I found a product that not only works well but is quite affordable.

As a volunteer foster parent with my local animal rescue, it's not uncommon for my household to temporarily house a dog, 2-3 cats or kittens, and a rabbit or 2 along with my own resident beagle. With so many new animals coming and going, most homeless pets don't arrive at rescue already having had preventative flea/tick/ear mite medication. Of course, we give them flea treatment once in the rescue; however, until the medicine goes into effect after 24 hours, this doesn't stop fleas from entering my home. At one point, I had 3 foster kittens that I personally rescued who were about 8-10 weeks old. Kittens can't receive the typical flea/tick/ear mite preventative until they are at least 2 lbs. in weight, or else the medication strength can be very, very harmful to such a young pet. Regardless, these kittens needed protection from the coming and going within my home. I purchased Sentry's Fiproguard flea and tick topical for cats weighing 1.5 lbs. or more, and my kittens remained flea free! Plus, it was safe to use on their tiny bodies as they were between 1.5 and 1.7 lbs., depending on which of the 3 kittens. Please keep in mind, these kittens were indoor only cats. I used this medication treatment as a preventative from the inevitable tracking in of outdoor pests from other foster animals.

"Hartz Ultraguard Pro Flea and Tick Drops" made my cats back feet become paralyzed (it was a few months before I figured out that was the cause since it's not something you apply often), but this product contains a different ingredient, FIPINOPRIL (SP?), which *doesn't* seem to cause that problem. Ultraguard Pro seems hard to get now, so maybe they took it off the market for those reasons. I'm 100% sure it caused my cats legs to basically not work, with no other symptoms....it was very odd, but something I can only see a chemical doing.Luckily, like I said, this doesn't seem to do that. This seems safer than other products, in my opinion.
