I recently purchased and repurposed a pair of these brass stair handrail brackets to mount a ballet bar on my daughter's wall, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I really, really liked these iron handrail brackets when they came as well as the company's message. The brackets had that vintage look and feel but when we got them attached to our handrail, they were made to wiggle or "give" as you used/pulled the handrail. Because we were doing new construction, the Inspector didn't like them. They allowed the handrail to move too much. When elderly relatives come over, they are afraid to use them. Unfortunately, we will probably replace for solid brackets.

The brackets are decent quality and came with all needed screws. There is a “mechanical” issue though after screwing these on. The top “hinged” section that rocks horizontally back/forth to adjust to the angle of the rail has “give” from right to left, so the handrail is NOT stable, but tips right to left. If you want stability, this may not work for you. On a side note, I was shocked that a company can, and would include religious literature in their product mailings. This is unacceptable and completely inappropriate. Seller, I invite you to consider how misguided this type of peddling is. There is a place for this, and this is not it.

I'm in love with this handrail bracket. The size is a good size, not too big nor too small. Easy installation. Hold the wood rail very well. Sturdy and very beautifully crafted. Love love love
