This seems to be a very well-made tool that is surprisingly accurate and smooth. They feel good in the hand and have both imperial and metric scales and pointers. Nice! I had my set calibrated at a lab and they were off by .001" over the foot span! Great at ANY price.

It jams every 4-5 cm. I was delicate with it at the start, but it jammed and could only extend between 0 and 4-5 cm. I finally forced it a bit, and the gear skipped, so now the gauge is off. Then it jammed again at around 8-10 cm…

We'll know more in a year or so, but out of the box it seems like a decent caliper.

There has been zero quality control from the blind chinamans factory. There is debris of some sort or a flaw in the manufacture as the jaws pass through .800 thou.Accuracy is in question it is not smooth. lots of stiction. send it back buy from another place more money better quality fire the the guy who made this one it's made from Chinesium.

For an inexpensive dial caliper this is a slick unit. It's well built and accurate. Having standard and metric units of measure is quite useful too.

Obviously not as good as Starrett or Mitituyo dial calipers but for the price the hold their own. Solid frame and smooth function. Pretty decent repeatability through calibration range. I have several accusize tools and yet to find one that wasn't worth the purchase.

If it was 1/2 the price it would still be expensive for what it is; a poor quality caliper.1.- Broken/malformed case... this wasn't broken by shipping there just wasn't enough plastic injected in to the mould, and their quality control figured it was good enough.2.- Loose dial, and pitted plastic face.3.- Caliper rod, the bit the slides up/down the channel... it bulges a little, so it's not flat and is a little loose, so you can make tapping noises with it when your bored.Really the ONLY benefit of this over say a $10 digital one, is that it's longer and doesn't need batteries, however the quality is pretty low rung chinese. I would be surprised if Accusize Industrial Tools is paying over $8 a peice for these.

I work as a maintenance/machinist at a printing business and use these things every day for the past 7 months. They're just as accurate and consistent as the Starrett and Brown and Sharpe calipers my co-workers use. The build quality is pretty good, no reason to complain. The case came broken, but super glue fixed that easily. Id say its a very good budget caliper.

Was a nice alternative to more expensive calipers but broke within a week.

I do pressbrake and lathe work in aerospace indistry with a tolerance of + - .005 sometimes less. These cetified and perform every bit as good as my 12" Starrett. I bought these for the metric by i find them to be my every day set lately.
