These worked perfectly for hanging icicle lights from the top of a wooden fence. The clips fitted over the top of the fence plank and we just strung the lights from the hooks. Wish I’d found them sooner.

Fit right over 5/8" fence board without snapping or cracking. Excellent for the c9 lights we hung on the privacy fencing for the holiday!

Plastic was too thin making these flimsy. Worked for light weight lights.

Replaced the old with these for year round lights. Living in Vegas means a lot of extreme weather. Old ones crumbled upon removal but these are much more sturdy and lock in place.

I wasn't sure these would work. I didn't know if being shorter they'd hold well onto the gutter, but so far they're fine. I have to admit we haven't had any really bad storms this year with high winds so maybe they haven't been adequately tested. (?) That said, I do think they'll 'weather the storm' (Like that pun?) if we do. I like these because they aren't as obtrusive as the larger older ones I have. They were't difficult to attach either. If you just get them at the right angle, you can use the top of the outer wall of the gutter to help open them up to slip them on. I did it while balancing on a ladder using just one hand to attach them. Next year, I'll probably take the time to replace all the old hangers with these. This year I had to buy a new string of icicles for over one deck and only used these for it. Need less to say I recommend these light hangers -- they're working me.

These made hanging lights easy. I had some I bought years ago these are much better. I recommend for hanging lights on gutters.
