I bought this to replace an earlier order of a cheaper brand which is not much good. After my first day of use, I think this one might be ideal. The waist belt is close to 3 inches wide and made of super strong elastic, which provides more than enough tightness. Its width helps it to lie flat against the body without rolling. The crotch belt elasticity is also more than enough for me, meaning as it begins to stretch with age there will still be enough tension to do the job. The Velcro is very grabby and in the right places, should last a long time. I will try to pull it on each morning without having to adjust the belt, to preserve the velcro. Comes with 2 pads, the thinner one is perfect for me.So far, very pleased. At the end of the day, no discomfort at all. My hernia has been there for 30 years or so, never painful, I press it back into place each morning and with a good truss it stays in place for the rest of the day.I am in my 80s now, and plan to wear a truss until the end. Will leave instructions for the embalmer on my adjustment preferences.

Tried a few products that only kind of worked, this one works for me... I think it is subjective, where you hernia is and where you need the support, but this fit EXACTLY where I need it and I am in less pain. I would give this 10 stars if I could!!!!!!

Purchased this to alleviate some discomfort until I had my surgery. Helped to a degree but was somewhat uncomfortable to wear. You can wear it for either side which makes it versatile but by no means is a long term fix. It is of good quality but the leg strap I found to be the most uncomfortable aspect of this design,

Comfortable for what it is. Has a loop on the front to tighten the optional strap that goes between legs. Cheaper one I ordered had strap but just Velcro no loop so can't tighten as much. Worth the extra cost for this one.

I have a very painful inguinal hernia (3 months) I went to the dr and also saw the surgeon. I'm scheduled to get the repair in 3 weeks. Nobody mentioned a hernia belt. I was to the point where I had to leave work early because of the pain. I'm a heavy truck mechanic and everything is heavy lifting in my world. I was up all night worrying about finances. I cant afford to take 3 weeks off and then get the repair and take more time off. I got this belt and the next day I pulled a truck engine no problem. Keeping the hernia in reduces the pain by over 90 percent. Why nobody told me about this I don't know. I'll make it the 3 weeks until the repair...no problem.

This belt supports the proper area if I need to do heavy lifting. Already had a hernia repair about 23 years ago. This belt allows me to lift with confidence when it starts flaring up again. Otherwise it is not needed. I did not use the optional crotch strap and did not use either of the thick hernia pads. The pads were made of soft fabric so I imagine they would be comfortable. Good product.

Very happy with the hernia belt. This is my 3rd hernia, each one presents slightly differently. The belt was ordered and came the next day for which I'm very thankful. It comes with two pressure pad inserts One looked somewhat as expected (flat on one side and curved on the other, almost like a pear sliced in two. I wasn't sure which side to use against my body. The other was more like an oval-shaped baseball, round on both sides. There was no flippin way I could put that against my hernia without crazy pain. I looked at both pads and couldn't figure out which and how to use them. I wish the instructions had been somewhat more descriptive. It's now been a week and my body has healed the surrounding wound, but the hernia will need surgery to correct the problem. I'll continue to wear the belt, but probably only when I do something physical.

Delivered as promised, size was good . Holds well. Didn’t like the strap for under crotch so cut it off. For me not needed as belt stays in place w/o.Belt material is rough so putting it over underpants or leggings feels better. Otherwise it’s working well.

THIS SUPPORT JUST DIDNT DO IT FOR ME AND I FOUND IT TO BE AWKWARD TO WEAR. THE PAD IS VERY THICK AND WHILE IT IS REMOVEABLE, EVEN THAT DIDNT FEEL COMFORTABLE. IT WAS BULKY AND KEPT SLIDING UP AND DOWN. I HAD NOT TRIED IT AFTER MY SURGERY FOR AWHILE AND BY THEN IT WAS BEYOND THE RETURN DATE, SO I WILL DONATE IT TO SOMEONE THAT MAY FIND IT USEFUL. AN ABDOMINAL BINDER WORKS MUCH BETTER AND AMAZON HAS A GREAT ONE THAT STAYS IN PLACE. NYORTHO IS THE NAME AND HANDS DOWN, YOU WILL LIKE THAT ONE BETTER.

It is very comfortable to wear and keeps my husband's hernia in place. This is the reason I bought it for him. He is waiting for an operation so until then this will help him work as near normal as possible.
