I can do this by myself!!! Finally - A ONE person pop-up awning!!! I checked one of these center pop-up style awnings at my daughter's softball tournament & immediately wanted one. It is so simple and smooth to operate that one person can do it on their own - much easier with two but no longer necessary. To open it up you just pull out opposite corners until you can wiggle under to reach the center pop-up mechanism then just push up until it clicks - the four corners will expand on their own and do so very smoothly. Then all you have to do is extend the legs which is super easy using a cinch-lever vs. pushing in the metal tab - no more broken nails. The feet on this guy are very sturdy and have holes for stakes which were included, kind of chincy but they always are. The awning fabric is thick ripstop nylon with UV coating for great shade & sun protection. It secures well & snug to the frame so no flapping around in windy conditions. It has tabs to loop thru guy-lines to secure it really well in windy conditions. It is appreciable lighter than my old awning by Ozarks brand (walmart) which I appreciate cause I am usually hauling it around by myself. The carry bag is nice weight oxford canvas with well reinforced stress points and a sturdy wheeled base. It is fitted to the awning but just loose enough to get 4 sidewalls wrapped around and tucked into the bag too. I also stuff in 4 heavy duty stakes, guy-lines and a mallet into the bag. All ready to go.
