I've always wondered about our soil with living in a abundantly clay and rock soil environment. So far I've only tested the top layer of the garden soil but its optimal (sweet). I'll be testing other areas now that I see how easy these are to use. Great price. Honestly it's kinda fun. This will definitely help with figuring out where to plant and try not kill plants (I'm pretty good at the latter) picture of test strip with the legend included so you can see how easy it is.

Basic soil testing kit, does not come with any instructions. I had to YouTube how to use a kit like this. Fairly simple, you fill a mason jar with some dirt, fill the rest of the way with water, and then let it settle. Once all the dirt has settled out of it, then you can dip the strip in the water to test the pH level. Just make sure to do this out of direction as the strips can be very light in color and a challenge to read sometimes. I have not tested the strip to see how accurate they are, but for home use I’m fine with it.

Aside from what you see in the images, there really aren't any directions. What does a "sample" consist of? Where should I pull this from? I don't know!I see some people have used a kit. There is no kit included here but that shouldn't be a big deal unless putting the sample in a plastic cup is bad. Again, no instructions so not sure.

They seem to work fine. I tested two separate soil samples to see if I got different results, and I did. I would have liked a little more information about what the readings meant, other than just "acidic" or "alkaline", but it does help in determining what the soil needs to reach the optimal ph that your plants need. You will have to look up what type of soil your plants need, depending on the variety of plant. Some plants like more acidic and some like it more alkaline. But this will be the help you need to start giving them the soil necessary for your plant's health.

These are very easy to use. You just add soil and water to a container, wait 30 minutes, dip a test strip for 3 seconds, wait 1 minute and you have your result. You compare your strip to the bottle for the pH level. The description should say this is a test strip product not a kit, since only one item is included (100 strips), and it would be nice if it included the soil ratios you should be using. But basically it’s 1:2 or 2.5 soil to water. If you have a lot of organic material or clay in your soil sample, it can be 1:5.Tested my basil plant’s soil and it is right on the mark 6.5 - 7. I think this is accurate because this plant has been growing really well in this pot, and would look different if the soil was off. I’ve also tested this soil with my prong tester I use for gardening, and gotten the same result.

I love how easy this is to use and read, and the 100 strips are going to last a long time.I have blueberry bushes that need acidic soil, so I need to measure monthly. This is perfect for the job!

They seem good, unfortunately it's winter, so I won't be able to use them in my garden until Spring, but everything seems fine. I'll update this once I try them out.
