Lint Free polyester Cleaning Swabs
Polyester swabs are produced using automated processes that thermally bond knitted polyester fibers. They exhibit strong resistance to most solvents and are effective at scrubbing away tough grease, partially cured adhesives, and flux residues.
High Absorptive Foam Cleaning Swabs
Foam swabs consist of compressed open cell polyurethane foam firmly fixed onto a polystyrene shaft. They are great for cleaning electronics, keyboards, and tight spaces, offering excellent absorbency, purity, and precision cleaning, as well as liquid application and surface sampling.

there barely have material to clean dont buy so cheap made you gotta use 3 times more just to clean one lens

I haven't used these yet. The swab end is extremely thin. I dipped one in water wondering if it would expand some....nope. I doubt these will absorb much. Might be good for thin coating CPL/gun oil after cleaning, and reaching deep to clean down in narrow spaces.UPDATE: I now realize that this company has other types of swabs. I found thicker ones. The Amazon descriptions do not list AAWipes modle code. "A" is the thinner. "C" are the thicker. Ordered some "C". think between the two I'll be set.

The AAWipes lint-free swabs are the solution I've been seeking for cleaning capstans, pinch rollers and head drums on audio and video tape machines.The reasons are simple but important1. Lint free - truly lint free as in NOT A Q-TIP They leave nothing on the capstan, even when briskly rotating it2. They are broad and flat - this means they clean the entire length of the capstan shaft in a single static position. No more scrubbing back and forth to try to get it all with a q-tip as you rotate the capstan flywheel.3. They hold the appropriate amount of solvent, without dripping it everywhere.4. BEST OF ALL, they have two distinct sides - which means you can clean the heavy gunk with one side, and then flip the stick over and do the final clean with a completely fresh and new surface - all without having to stop and get a completely different cleaning stick to do the final clean. This saves A LOT OF TIME!These same realities are true when cleaning a pinch roller or a head drumHighly Recommended for capstan cleaning. They will also do an o.k. job on analog audio tape machine heads, though their size can make them a bit daunting to get into smaller head spaces. They will also do a very good job on rotary head drums (ADAT, DA88, VCR, etc.) observing of course the usual precautions.HIGHLY SATISFIED - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - a true 5 star product.

AAwipes is a registered trademark of Alyvia LLC, a Michigan-based company specializing in professional-grade cleaning swabs and wipes, since 2019. They offer an impressive array of different types of swabs.These particular swabs have "double-layer knitted polyester" microfiber heads, and the head is about the same size as the tip of my index finger. I tend to use my fingertips to try to clean dust out of places where a Q-tip or tissue would get caught and leave bits behind, so these are a great substitute for that. They are also very flat, to be able to slide into places too narrow for fingertips. The manufacturer says they can be safely used with "most known solvents, including alcohol and acetone", as well as dry usage.I received the full advertised quantity of 100, and they all looked well-made (no loose threads, heads firmly attached to handles). They are packaged in a non-resealable plastic bag, so I had to transfer them to a ziplock bag.

Each of these is like a microfiber sock fixed onto a small plastic spatula. The sock portion is surprisingly rugged, and if you're cheap like me you'll reuse these for a long time on non-destructive applications. I used one to clean my keyboard keys and after a little rinsing the swab is definitely up for more.There is not a hint of lint, which is great for me when I'm painting small items. It can serve as an applicator, not only a cleaning swab, and I've used one to apply GooGone to a label I needed to remove. This picks up the material/solvent almost instantly wicking it throughout the sock and then releases a nice smooth layer on the label which soaks through after a while and the label is easily pulled off. Doing that job before was much messier because I had to drip on the material or otherwise use more than necessary and so it always made a mess.These would be great for applying flux I'm sure, like to a large pad for a MOSFET heat sink or that sort of thing. Wherever you would have used a needle dispenser bottle you might want to consider one of these for some of those operations.Definitely would do it again and recommend.

These are hands down some of the best sized swabs to thoroughly and easily clean mechanical keyboards. I have fallen down the mechanical keyboard rabbit-hole, but luckily, only on the budget end. A few keyboards lay around unused for months, and tend to collect dust and dander. I use some IPA with these swabs, and they work fantastic, don't fall apart, and I only really have to use one for most keyboard cleanings.I really like the shape of these. Holding it with the broad cross section allows for quick cleaning of wider portions. Turn it 90 degrees, and you have a really thin profile to get into narrow gaps. I vastly prefer these to conical and blunt shaped swabs.Oh, and they weren't joking when they said these were lint free. I haven't had to go back and blow off any residue left behind by these swabs after a cleaning. Great design!

I ordered these swabs to clean photographic negatives and slides.I have a large collection of negatives and slides. Most of them are decades old, and it is challenging to scan them (or print them in a darkroom) without cleaning them first. The challenge is to find something to clean them that doesn't leave lint and dust behind. The swabs seem to do the trick.The covering on the swabs is thick enough hold cleaning fluid. They do not come apart and they do not scratch my negatives. I also used one to clean a camera lens, and it was very good at removing dust and grime.If you need to clean delicate objects and a lint-free solution is important, these swabs might be what you're looking for.
