You don’t have to buy new pots and pans for using on the induction cooktops. This item allows me to use any pan I want and conducts the heat just fine.I purchased the rubber-like pad to avoid scratches.

We just purchased an induction stove and my husband was disappointed that he couldn’t use his glass tea kettle to boil water. I decided to order this metal plate so that he could still use his tea kettle to boil water. It works ok. It does a fair job heating the water up but doesn’t really get a nice rolling boil like it would if he used a tea kettle compatible with an I diction stove top. He’s making do for now but still on the lookout for a better product.

I use this on my glass stovetop when I'm cooking with my cast iron pans. It works fine but is a little hard to clean.

We only have a couple of cooking utensils that are not induction-ready. One is my beloved non-stick omelet maker, a classic harvest gold number from the 70s. I've made hundreds of fluffy, fabulous omelets in it over the decades. But alas, when we switched to an induction cooktop a couple of years ago, I had to furlough this cheap little no-name aluminum treasure. Fortunately I wasn't willing to part with it, because I recently came across this excellent "cheater" plate, which gets hot from the induction process and radiates that heat into non-induction materials, including my omelet maker and even non-metal containers that can stand the heat and stay in the kitchen. We also have a set of wonderful hand-me-down stainless steel Salad Master cookware that includes one pan that, for some reason, won't work on induction. With this 9.45" adapter plate heat diffuser, this high-end Salad Master pan has also rejoined our array of "active" cookware. This is the best $25 we've spent in a while.

Love using my little pans for just me! This lets me use the induction stove with my existing pans. Watch out…it gets hot and slides a little on the glass. Thank goodness for the handle! (Don’t put the handle in while cooking. It will get too hot as well)

Glad to find this before throwing away all my old pots and pans that don’t work on my new induction. I use pressure cookers often and now I can use them without setting up a gas stove separately.Picked this gasket with separate handle thinking it would be easier to use, but the one with an attached handle might’ve been more convenient. The gasket didn’t take too long to cool down, but I should be careful not to touch it while it’s hot and also need an extra care not to lose the handle. Also the handle is easy to be slipped out so need an extra care not to drop the gasket while moving it.The gasket also gets tarnished after first use, which is not a big deal to me. It could be dishwasher safe but it’s fairly easy to do handwashing. The package doesn’t show where it’s been made and tried to look like made in France, but I have my doubts. It also seems to take longer with this disk to be hot enough to boil.

There is not much to say. It fits over my largest element just perfectly and it's hard to tell the difference between using a regular induction pot and setting my aluminum pot on the disc. It does take a little bit longer to heat up the pan than a regular induction pot but then it would have taken a little bit of time to heat it up over a gas flame anyway. I can get a nice sear in my aluminum fry pan and the saucepans heat up very nicely and evenly as far as I can tell. The detachable handle lets me stick it in a drawer easily and not take up any more room than the disc itself. This was much less expensive than replacing cookware that I really want to keep. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
