I love the blue color of my electric moka pot, it seems nice and durable so far. It is slightly larger than my last moka pot from another brand w/clear plastic carafe piece, this is all metal moka pot, is better quality, yields more than my last moka pot, it cleans easier than my last moka pot, it's best to clean any moka pot w/in an hour, after it cools, btw... it leaked the first two times I used it - it leaked a tiny bit from where the two large pieces screw together, but it did not leak again after those first two times (so far, cross fingers, because I'm keeping it). It's a little wobbly on the plastic electric plate but is stable enough. I got some roasted cacao and I think the moka pot is the best for it, richer texture than filter/coffee pot. Moka pots are to be used on gas stoves, if not, you need an electric plated moka pot, this electric moka pot works well and is beautiful. I recommend this electric moka pot, just watch out for leaking, with any moka pot, because it's got two large pieces that screw together, make sure you secure them tightly.

I've always wanted to impress my family with my barista skills, so I decided to invest in this electric moka pot. I was so excited to try it out, but it was a total disaster.Right off the bat, the pot looked and felt cheap. There were these weird scratches on the metal parts, and the plastic felt flimsy. It didn't even look like a new product. But I figured, maybe it's just me being picky. After following the instructions to a T, with my dad, a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, looking over my shoulder, I was still unable to make a decent cup of coffee. The coffee tasted off, and there was always this weird residue left inside the pot. No matter how much I scrubbed, I couldn't get it completely clean. It's like the stains were permanently bonded to the metal.I'm starting to think there's something seriously wrong with this thing. It's almost like the manufacturer just slapped it together and called it a day. I'm so disappointed. I was hoping to bond with my dad over our shared love of coffee, but this moka pot has completely ruined that. I'll stick to my instant coffee from now on.

It's easy to use, very well made, you need to pick the correct size because I got the tiny one and I only can do one cup at the time. Yes you can use regular coffee and the coffee comes out so strong and delicious!
