Great for organizing my sockets. I can view what I have, need and lost. Fit sockets as expected. Magnetic base keeps it from moving around in the toolbox.

These are simply the best socket storage system I've found after a 50 year search. The magnets hold the sockets securely, the magnetic bases hold these functional, sturdy holders very firmly to any steel surface. The layout is great and the holes fit all my sockets, with easy-to-read markings and color coding for imperial and metric sockets. Even comes with extra 3/8in versions for your most used sockets. Love them and the price is great too.

These socket organizers have roomy spaces for the sockets, so even fat sockets should find plenty of space - makes it easier to break tool/magnet grip. Now about that magnet: way too strong to place anywhere metallic if you intend to relocate it. There are no handles or other grip points on the organizers to help break the magnetic bond, so good luck with the smooth plastic finish.The socket layout for the 1/2" tools is strange - sizes I've never seen before, limit on the size that's different between standard and deep sockets and a design that seems to force you to use two trays for both SAE and Metric units (I guess that's why there are 8 trays instead of the normal 6 (1/4", 3/8", 1/2" times two). I'll keep my current holder for the 1/2" drive sockets, thank you.I plan on gluing a 1/4" thick slat of wood to the bottom of each tray to make it easier to get them out of my box for actual use.The organizers seem to be really solid and should last long.
