Replaced rear axle bearings on my 1984 Chevy S10 V 8 conversion and this made the job very easy to get done.

Seems to be made reasonably well, worked with no issue putting in axle seals on my '67 Mustang

This set is sold under a wide variety of brand-names. But as far as I've been able to determine, the only bearing race driver sets with self-centering drivers and the right size (53mm) for my "exotic" Dodge Shadow's rear (drum) inner bearing race cost over $150 and have a huge selection. But there's an Orion set with flat drivers and a good selection, including 53mm, for about $60. Perhaps it's possible to rent individual self-centering drivers from Auto Zone. Oh, and don't install races backwards, because if you do, you'll probably need to pay a pro to get them out.

I read some complaints in reviews but this is my unbiased take: For the price these bearing drivers are great. Only thing I noticed is the taper that is supposed to fit inside the race on the bigger bearings does not allow a flush fit to drive the race into place. My solution: Turn the bearing driver around and use the flat side. Problem solved. Still giving 5 stars for price, durability, and overall product.

Great price and a good set for the DIY types who won't use this regularly. I used it to install races and seals on my front wheel bearings and it made quick work of it. It was a lot smoother than using the old races and a hammer and wood to do the seals. The metal is a little soft though so don't get crazy with a big sledge on it. The soft metal is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. If you're a pro who needs one of these regularly spend a little more for a better quality set.
