Used this for placing magnetic Christmas lights on metal roofs. Worked great and long reach.

This product is a lifesaver for our property, enabling us to reach and pull down palm fronds stuck up high in the trees. Quality is excellent and the retractable pile make storage easy.

This product is solidly built and functions smoothly. The tongs came packaged with a flashlight and a clip to affix it securely to the telescoping shaft of the tongs. Also included is a sleeve for storage when not in use and self-adhesive camouflage tape if you wish to use it.

Tongs works great, however the flashlight does not work. Tried several batteries to make sure that was not the problem. Tried to access bulb to see if it was defected but could not get to it.

Overall, the actual grabber appears sturdy and easy to use. The packaging it arrived in was a little sketchy, and I was surprised to find out it was not damaged. It was advertised to come with a flashlight . . . it did not.

I live in a rural area with lots of snakes especially rattlesnakes. Liked the length of this and the light add on. I have an old pile of roofing tin I use snake grabbers to help me move and to grab the inevitable snakes I find as I sort it. I have two other snake grabbers and never had an issue. I bought this one because of the telescoping feature. The head just snapped under a medium load that didnt bother my other ones. Stay away from these you don't want the head to break while you are grabbing a big snake.

This is a sturdy good product. It can carry up to 20 Lbs. or so with no problems so big snakes, moving fire logs out of a fine - and what have you it is good for? It is extendable to 7 feet with a sturdy built in operating mechanism for opening and closing the "beak"/thongs. I use it as combined walking stick and "snake charmer" for snakes that must be joining the "witness relocation program" which is any snake close to my campsite in the wilderness of eastern Kentucky. The worst case scenario is fully mature timber rattler that can be up to 7 feet long and some 3" thick and pack some 450 ml of venom of which 150 Ml is deadly for most adults if untreated and you should/will feel the effects with 15 minutes of a wet bite. Snakes don't hear or see very well buy smell good and feel tremors in the ground better than we do, so I stomp my step and walk slow sweeping the ground in front of me with these surnuo snake thongs so I mange to see hear them or copperheads and draw a strike to the snake thongs rather than me, before they can see me, as they strike faster than i can manage to get out of the way their acceleration is 160/second squared exposing them top up to 30G'es. If i see one i avoid it, but I move the ones close to the camp, and they usually don't come back. This is my preferred tool to to move them with. Only draw back is the thongs they seem a bit brutal to the snakes so do not overtighten the tongs - keep the sake firm but don't crush it - snakes have relative little not very strong skeletons so the tongs are squesing on its organs.

Seems to be sturdy construction and the light is a nice bonus feature that is very bright.
