Got the screen and installed and thought everything was working just fine. And it was, fooor a day. The next day, as soon as I started my truck, there were scrambled lines all over the screen. I was extremely careful when replacing the screen and have a fairly decent background in fixing/replacing my electronics. Certainly not worth the attempt at saving money. Do not skimp on this and get the actual LG Screen. You can find it here on Amazon. Otherwise, install was simple and the product looked great at first.

Order came very fast/overnight, install was very simple, first screen did not work random selections without touching the screen. I will be receiving a replacement today and will post update. UPDATE!! Recieved replacement screen within 2days and worked perfectly original order must have been defective item

Just as my title states, you get what you pay for. This is a great option to save thousands of replacing the whole system at the dealership. If you watch a YouTube video and have the proper tools, it’s a quick swap out and you’re back up and running.My factory screen had bubbles that would change the station and call people on its own. The dealership said it’d be over 2k to fix. I found this and figured I’d give it a shot. Overall it’s great. The color is a little different from the original and the screen is shifted left. There’s no way to center the screen when it’s on, but I got used to it. For the price and usability as it works perfectly, I won’t complain.If you’re looking for a quick fix that’ll get you back to zero headaches while driving this is it.I installed this screen in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for reference.

I bought this screen when my screen started getting the Ghost/Phantom touches. I found out that it is a common thing in Dodge/Ram/Chrysler on their factory screens. I've had this screen for closer to a year now and it's working great!! I installed it myself and it was really simple, and took abt an hour...It like this screen much more than the factory screen primarily because this screen is a glass touch where as the factory screen was pressure censored.HOWEVER, why o rated this 4/5 stars is that occasionally(meaning very rarly)when I turn the car on, my screen will be completely black although the stero seems to be working because the radio will have sounds. A couple ways I've seen to fix this, and it can vary from time to time...is to turn the car off, open the door wait for the car to reset and turn the car back on. 2nd Is to do this but wait a couple minutes for the car to reset and turn the car on... 3rd and I've had this happen to me 3 times, where the radio works the but the screen only displays black, I try thr restart methods, but ultimately it starts working the next day and this ONLY happens when there is and extreme weather change from super hot, or to super cold....OVERALL, I do like this screen and will continue to use!! Very worth it to get rid of the dumb phantom/ghost touchesAnd if you need a tutorial to install it, just look on YouTube and save yourself the money 💰Update!!!!!!This picture is an update, is now no longer working!!! I cant even use my screen and it won't even shut off while the car is on and now I have to put a sheet over the screen to drive comfortably, this flashing screen that has lines on it has never happened, and I am very disappointed in this product now. This would be a major risk for those of epilepsy, or those who dont know they have it. It is a huge distraction while driving and very blinding. I am now re-rating this to 1 star

Although this product averages over 4 stars, some of the negative reviews are enough to scare a person out of this purchase. I watched a great YouTube video detailing the removal and install process, and then tackled the project. Zero problems, and probably took me 1-2 hours total. Go slow and be careful, as much of the dash console is made with plastic clips you don’t want to break. My screen is NOT off center to the left like some users have shared…my guess is those issues are likely install user error. If you are dealing with the deamination issue with your RAM 1500, don’t hesitate, just buy the screen.

Looks good and works just fine. Glad I bought it. I have a 4th gen RAM truck with the ghosting U-Connect 8.4 issue. I was able to install this product myself, and it turned out great. It works. I did not notice anything off-centered. Although, it is a rather reflective screen different from the OEM screen that I removed. If the sun is shining in from the back window of your truck, you'll get a mirror-like reflection. But at the same time, it looks new and shiny.I recommend watching the YouTube video of 'replacing uconnect screen in 5 minutes'. It does show some good tips about adding duck-tape to the edges of the UConnect unit before removing the 6 long screws so that the radio does not fall apart when removing the screws. In the video, pay attention to how to remove/insert the ribbon cables. There is a plastic lever on the ribbon cable inserts. It took me a few minutes to understand how the ribbon cables connect/disconnect, but I figured it out.Other than that, the product looks good and works just fine. Resolved the ghosting issue and it looks like I have a brand new radio installed. The only thing I didn't like that has nothing to do with the product, was getting the dash plate and middle console removed to get the radio out of my RAM. Took more effort and time than what Youtube videos portray. Other than that, this is the only cost-effective option to resolving the ghosting defect issue. If you don't have a warranty, then you'll be paying $800-$1000K for a new UConnect unit and an additional $100-$300 to install at the dealership. This screen/digitizer product was a very cost effective solution.
