304 Hex Flange Nuts
Serrated flange washer head
Used in conjunction with bolts and screws to connect and fasten the parts.
Hex style can make them easy to tighten with a wrench or socket. Be sure not to strip your nuts by over tightening. Use a nut that is consistent with your other fasteners.
Application
They are commonly used for machinery and construction projects because of its sturdy structure. It's very suitable for applications with relatively large locking forces. Ideal used in indoor or outdoor projects.

Stainless Steel 304
Composition
304 (A2) is the most extensively used austenitic stainless-steel. It's also known as stainless steel 18/8 which is derived from the nominal composition of 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
Thanks to the chromium content, 304 stainless steel products show excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
Weakness
304 Stainless Steel is more likely to corrode from saline environments in coastal areas. That means grade 316 stainless steel is highly recommended for tough applications under the marine environment where there is more powerful acids and chemicals.

I have several sizes of flange nuts from this supplier, and have used most sizes, but not this one. They are all consistently well manufactured with precise threading, The heads are of proper dimensions and depth to fit tools well and be easily torqued appropriate to their size. I can’t verify they are 304 SS, but they are not attracted to a magnet and the larger sizes I have used have not rusted after over a week exposed to rain. Overall a readily available, high quality fastener at a reasonable price.

I always have various projects going on around the house and for things that need a little extra grip, I occasionally need nuts like these. These are as good as anything I get from the big box store. The threads fit onto my 8/32 thread screws very well and they are machined precisely. I didn’t have any culls or manufacturing errors in the batch. Fit and finish were excellent. I am only using these on indoor applications but being stainless steel, I’d have no issues using them on projects outdoors. They tighten and secure nicely and don’t seem prone to getting damaged even if a bit over-torqued. Like any bulk purchases, make sure to compare specs and price per unit and buy accordingly. You may be able to source these cheaper from other places. That being said, the price and quality were an acceptable value for me at about 14 cents a nut without having to leave my house.

The 10-32 Serrated Hex Flange Nut, 304 Stainless Steel, is typically used to distribute the pressure of the nut over a larger area. I am using it to secure Aluminum Solar Panel framing to Stainless Steel Z-Brackets.The nuts are high quality. Spark and magnetic tests are consistent with 18-8 or 304 stainless steel. I have confidence in these nuts.

Occasionally when I assemble items, it's handy to be able to skip the lock washer and feel that the nut is secure, especially in a marine environment where the boat gets pounded by waves. The serrated flange acts a bit like a star type lock washer, and is one less piece to keep track of when you're attaching something to a bolt - especially in a hard to reach area. These nuts are well tooled and the edges are cleanly finished. I exposed them to an accelerated corrosive environment with no signs of rust. I also find that it's more convenient to order hardware in the 50 to 100 piece lots than to run to the local hardware store each time I need a nut.

Not a lot to say here. These are nicely finished stainless steel 10-32 nuts with a healthy flange that features sharp well defined locking serrations. These are a step up from the cheap big box hardware store junk - the kind that you can buy five at a time for a couple of dollars? Yeah...these are better. Much better.I've been handling various kinds of industrial and technical hardware for many decades. I habitually prefer U.S. sourced bolts and nuts, but I have to admit that this stuff is first class.Do note that the flange diameter must be taken into account when planning your layout or application. These will not fit into any location where clearances are exceptionally tight, due to the additional diameter of the built-in locking flange. But if you are ordering this kind of hardware for a design, you already knew that, right? Double check your clearances.All five stars. Excellent hardware. Small package. Simple no-frills materials. Small environmental footprint. If you are doing a project that requires high strength (for this size fastener) and excellent final finish characteristics, then these are the nuts for you.

Exactly what they say they are. Flange nuts are handy when you don't want to mess with a washer, and the flanges are serrated to provide extra holding power without using a lock washer or similar. These seem just as good as you can find at a big-box home improvement store. You are probably not going to need 50 of these at one time, but I rarely regret buying good hardware like this in bulk because there's always another project in the future.
