I bought this because is was advertised as an 8 cup sifter. I own a bakery and we sift a lot of flour and powdered sugar. The sifter barely holds four cups. Is works well enough but it gets heavy for my bakers to hold over the bowl and crank. They need to take breaks and refill it over and over.

Fits easily 8 cups of powder sugar, but works best (for me) at 4 cups at a time.

Good quality and works really well. I do wish it was smaller and had a cap on the bottom so that your flour doesn’t fall out the bottom as soon as you dump it in.

I love how sturdy this is. It's definitely not small. It's very well made and perfect for big projects. Dusting a whole surface for noodles or rolling dough is easy peasy.

Not impressed with construction of this sifter. Not sure it will endure long term like grandma's sifter did. They also display little respect for their own product with pitiful packaging effort. The unit was in its own box placed in an oversized box with no packing material of any kind to absorb the shock often sustained during abusive shipping. The large exterior box was beat up quite well and the box containing the sifter was compromised. There was no literature whatsoever included with the sifter.The side of the sifter box says the following; 1.) Dishwasher Safe - 2.) Handle with care to prevent damage (yet they contradict their own instructions with their careless packing practices which can result in damage before the customer even receives the sifter). Common sense is certainly not common with this company.) - 3.) Let air dry after washing - 4.) Dust excess flour off - 5.) Soak in dish liquid and water.If you are a discerning buyer when it comes to outfitting your kitchen with quality built gadgets, I would take a pass on this sifter. If you have great respect for companies who value their products and their customers enough to carefully and lovingly package their products for shipping I would run from this company and look elsewhere.
