I really like this idea – a plugin that would go into the 7-pin trailer port on my truck and let me know via the inner lights coming on, if each circuit was working. That would save me a lot of time.Thing is, I didn’t pay enough attention to what the actual prongs look like. You can save yourself time and a headache by making sure your plug takes these round pegs. Turns out, mine takes the flat ones.No stars off for my mistake. If you have the right system, I’m sure you’ll appreciate this.

I didn't remember correctly that my trailer connectors were the blade type so I was extremely disappointed to find this device was for pin connectors. Unfortunately I can't use or test it. What I can say is that his thing is really well made and looks and feels solidly built. It's such a great idea for a way to quickly diagnose where the problem is in trailer lights that aren't working. And what's nice is that it comes with a brass jumper that allows you to bypass the problem circuit temporarily so that you can be on your way without being stuck on the road. Then you can repair the problem later. I wish they had one for blade connectors too because I would definitely buy one. Especially because I looked them up at different suppliers and what looks like exactly the same tester as this one can sell for a lot more than for what it is offered for here. Great idea for testing trailer connections.
