Must have for a pickup truck that doesn’t have a bumper step. I am a bit older, cannot just jump in the back of my truck anymore. This is a game changer. Easy to install and employ when needed. Folds up out of the way, safe to go through the automation car wash.

I have a high level of technical know-how and I cannot fathom how this product was released for mass production and sale. The brackets do not line up with one another, the bolt holes do not line up with the drop-down foot holes and installing it is likely to damage the existing bolts on your vehicle. The recommended socket sizes do not even match the bolts ;provided. I spent almost 3 1/2 hours dinking around with this piece of scrap metal and will be returning it once I free it from the vehicle. Shame on the company who manufactured it. They should be reimbursing people for hours of wasted time.

The product mounting hardware seems very sturdy. The step part is plastic and seems lightweight. I am an averaged size male and it feels like it could bend or collapse at any time when I use it to step onto the tailgate. I would gladly pay a little more for something more rigid and sturdy. I doubt this will last a long time and likely depends on how much it gets used.

The installation is so simple that the instructions are just a series of pictures. The 2023 F150 and all the hardware on this kit will require metric tools. By leaving all bolts loose enough as to allow things to line up before tightening the frame into place, the installation would take only 20 minutes. You will need a two inch and a six inch extension for the ratchet if you are using a socket set. You will also need matching open end wrenches. Once the frame is in place, pull the step down, tighten things and then add the tread. Piece -of- Cake !!!

There are no written instructions, just pictures…. I did have to modify some holes(make them larger) but once you figure out what holes to use it is a solid product. I do not know what the what limit is… I weigh 170 lbs and it is very solid. It took me about an hour or so get it installed. It makes it soooo much easier to get up and in the bed of the truck!

Fits on truck easy enough once you figure it out but the instruction sheet is useless. It took me about two hours to complete the install, most of that was figuring out how to assemble the bracket correctly, maybe 15 minutes to mount it once I figured out how it was supposed to go. Check online videos for instructions for similar products and those will make the installation much easier. It was tricky to assemble the two metal brackets and attach the folding mechanism to the correct holes. Love the way it tucks up just under the bumper when not in use. I really like it but the tread part is plastic and flexes when you step on it. I hope it lasts and doesn’t crack in cold weather. If it had better instructions and if it had a metal tread I would give it 5 stars.

This did not fit my F150 without major modification of the supporting bracket. Angle of support bracket did not line up with the bolt hole on the vehicle. Had to modify the supporting bracket to fit.

Terrible instructions. Bolts and bolt holes for the step arm and bumper bracket did not line up. Step comes down behind truck so you can’t use it with tailgate down.
