I was pretty picky about what I wanted with a Split View baby monitor so that I can keep an eye on my two kiddos. Parent unit is a nice size but not obnoxious. I love that the picture quality is clear and there’s no lag (the vtech one is tried lagged so badly in split mode). I love how the volume and brightness are controlled by buttons and that I can use the mic and adjust the camera angle all in Split View. I also enjoy the scanning mode where it switches from one camera to the other, the vox setting is neat but haven’t used it, and there are some other settings such as an alert for when kids room is too hot or cold. Overall very good baby monitor. The only things I noticed which you could consider a con is that it doesn’t have the noise indicator lights (green, orange, red lights) and it’s buttons do feel a little delicate. But I could go on and on about what I do like and all for a reasonable price!

I just opened the monitor today, but so far I’m a big fan! I love the large parent unit, and the split screen option. It seems to be very user friendly, and the clarity of the video is very good! We have a different more expensive unit that we got for my first daughter, and this one is way better and was about $200 cheaper. I also love that the parent unit has a 30 hour battery! Our other monitor has a decent battery but after about 1.5 hours it continuously beeps at you telling you to plug it in because the battery is low. When in reality it has a good 2 hours of battery left. The parent unit is very flawed on our other monitor so I am really blown away by all the features of the ifamily monitor at the price it is. I love that the camera rotates 360 degrees so I can adjust the angle. I also like that it isn’t connected to wife so no concerns over it being hacked into. I’m very pleased with this monitor! I will update my review if I notice any issues or concerns.Update after few days of using the monitor: works great and still loving it! The VOX feature is awesome for night time when you don’t need the screen on the entire night only if baby wakes up! I am loving the large parent unit! It has made a huge difference! I also love that you don’t have to have it charged every time you use it. Battery life is very long!

We had to get a replacement for our first monitor since the audio had stopped working. Our first baby monitor was a completely different brand. Not expecting much, we ordered this brand and model and are so pleasantly surprised. The screen is huge! The lens is a bit wider than our first. So, in the same spot as our first monitor, we can see the entire crib. Whereas, we only saw about half our crib with our first monitor. The screen is also so much more detailed than our first one. A breathe of fresh air indeed and much nicer than our first monitor.

This baby monitor is high quality and awesome. The High resolution camera, truly gives you a clearer view all around your room and the night vision is insanely good. I like the 3 option zoom feature, the variety of lullaby melodies and the best of all, the screen size. I highly recommend it.

We switched from the Vava to this monitor! I wanted a split screen and something with a clear picture. This monitor is it!! I’m so happy with the picture, sound, night vision, and how easy it is to use. The battery life does last all day. I do have to plug it in at night. However, at nap times I leave the screen on.

Backstory: We got the iFamily SM650 as a baby shower gift and it was very useful, but the monitor doesn't show night vision very well so we decided to upgrade.Product Review: This monitor (SM70A-2) is a huge upgrade from the SM650 monitor. The image quality alone is worth the upgrade. I'm pretty sure the SM650 is VGA quality with a very low quality screen. The night vision on the SM70A-2 works really well and shows up great on the monitor (compared to the SM650, which had a lot of glare and doesn't work well with mesh bassinets). The attached image makes it look like it's blue with lines, but that's my camera doing weird things. It's actually grey scale and no weird lines. The lighting is accurate though. Even in pitch black where I can't see my hand in front of my face it'll show up about like this. Color scale with light on is a bit muted, but you can still see just fine. The menu settings in the monitor are much easier to navigate and display over the top of the left side of the image, whereas the SM650 went to a new screen and didn't display the camera image. You can turn off the night vision if you want (which makes a clicking sound when you turn it on and off) and if there's even a little light it'll still show up ok.As others have said, the temperature sensor is not accurate at all. Ever. It always reads high, and how much higher it reads compared to the actual temperature can vary as well. For example, if it's actually 70deg in the room the camera reports 77deg. But if it's 71deg, the camera will report 73deg. Right now it's 72deg and the camera can't decide if it's 73deg or 75deg and keeps going back and forth. My thermostat sensor is higher up than the camera, so in theory that should read higher than the camera rather than the camera reading higher.Sound quality and volume in the monitor is pretty good. There are 8 volume levels plus mute. We typically keep it on level 3 which is plenty loud enough.Talking through the monitor doesn't work so well. It's so quiet I could barely hear my wife with only a fan on low in the room. There doesn't appear to be a way to turn up the volume on the camera so I'm considering that an unusable feature. Between this and the temperature issue I took off 1 star.Battery life seems really good. We use VOX on low, so we usually hear our baby when we're downstairs before the monitor turns on. That works great for in our bedroom, though, where we can't hear her at all without the monitor. We typically charge the monitor overnight just because, but it never shows less than full battery by the end of the day. That said, it's usually only on for about 5 hours during the day. Compared to the SM650, which would be about half charged by the end of the day and nearly dead with a night off the charger, it's much better. There are also other features, like rotating the camera image 180° if you're hanging it upside down, split screen view for 2 cameras, 1x, 2x, and 4x zoom, and decent lullaby and white noise options. The lullaby and white noise sounds are a good volume, so it's odd that talking through the camera isn't very loud. You can also rotate the camera up, down, left, and right using the monitor.Overall this is a good product as long as you don't need accurate temperature monitoring or to talk through the camera.
