FAQs & Troubleshooting

My baby monitor is not working normally or is performing erratically.

1: Confirm proper installation power supply is securely plugged in. You should only use the Simyke power supply provided with your baby monitor. Make sure the electrical outlet is working and not controlled by a wall switch.

2: Make sure the parent unit and baby unit are turned on. Make sure that the blue light on the back of the camera is on.

3: The parent unit may be too far away from the baby unit. Or, other equipment or devices in your house may be affecting the connection between your parent unit and baby unit(s). Try placing the parent unit at least 3 feet away from WiFi devices, including laptops, smartphones, router, tablets and other WiFi streaming devices. Then, try to move your parent unit around (e.g. closer to baby unit or away from Wi-Fi devices) to find better reception. When placing the units closer together; note that they should not be closer than 3 feet apart.

4: Try resetting the parent and baby unit:

Step 1. Disconnect the power to the baby unit and parent unit.

Step 2. Wait approximately 15 secs.

Step 3. Reinstall adapter to the baby and parent unit.

Step 4. Wait one minute for the baby device and parent device to reconnect.

*Noise static and other erratic performance may be caused by nearby

electronic equipment and other cordless devices using the same frequency.

Separate your baby monitor from these devices as much as possible.

Unable to scan QR code to connect to network

First you need to check the following issues:

1) Whether the baby camera is properly plugged in and turned on

2) Whether the baby camera enters the network Pairing mode normally

3) Whether the app side can normally generate the correct QR code screenshot

4) Whether the camera prompts successful code scanning

5) Can not read the QR code prompted what

6）What is the specific tip of not being able to connect to the network

7) Whether the router is a 5G frequency band (currently only supports 2.4G WiFi)

All of the above may lead to the device can not be normal with the network.

If the baby camera can scan the code normally, but can not connect to the network prompts network connection timeout, you need to confirm whether the router is 5G or the phone's QR code is correct.

If you confirm that you have entered the Pairing mode and keep reminding the code scanning timeout, try restarting the baby camera and re-enter the Pairing mode to scan the code.

The factory default setting of the baby monitor is to enter VOX mode.

When no sound is detected, the display will turn off to enter power saving mode, and when sound is detected, the display will light up to remind you. If you don't like this default setting you can change it yourself.

Warm Tips

This baby monitors only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi,Does not support 5G Wi-Fi.

If your home WiFi does not 2.4Ghz, please buy with caution.

The nightmare I wish never happened. Last night at exactly 12:30 am (middle of the night) our 11 month old woke up crying. Which i found odd considering she sleeps through the entire night. We’ve kept the monitor on her since moving her to her crib at night for peace of mind to check on her. Well not anymore , right after I put her back to sleep I hear what I thought was another baby/kid talking. So i checked my phone to make sure it wasn’t playing a video and I accidentally left it on… nope it was the two way talk coming through our camera . The voice started again saying “hey , hey baby, can you hear me, hello” IMMEDIATELY I unplugged everything and made sure it was off. I’ve heard horror stories of people hacking baby monitors but never thought we would also be added to that list. Do not buy this unless you also want a creep waking your baby up trying to talk to them in the middle of the night.

I bought this to monitor our dog that's due to have puppies. The camera and monitor work well, but the app for using your phone isn't great. It constantly times out and it's hard to add an additional user, even following the directions. It was hit or miss, whether it would connect so we could view on our phone, then finally it would connect and show a black screen. So if viewing on your phone isn't very important, then the camera and monitor are great.

I recently got this Baby Monitor, and it’s been a lifesaver! Here’s my quick take on it:Design: Looks good and fits nicely in the nursery.Video Quality: Super clear during the day and at night. But sometimes needs angle shifting for clearer view.Audio Quality: I can hear my baby perfectly, even the softest sounds. Also has some lullabies inside it. But my baby likes to sleep in pin drop silent env.Range: Works well throughout the house and reconnects quickly if I go too far.Battery Life: Lasts all night but might need charging during the day with heavy use.Features: Has a talk-back option, checks room temperature, and can add more cameras. Has lullabies. Nice Night vision.Ease of Use: Easy to set up and useApp: Handy for checking on the baby from my phone, though it sometimes loses connection.Pros: Great video and sound, reliable connection, easy to use, and useful features.Cons: Battery could last longer, and the app can be a bit glitchy.Overall, this Baby Monitor is a solid choice for keeping an eye on your baby. I bought this one to replace the older model that the plastic on it just came apart to the point of not being able to use it anymore, same brand. This new model is made better but the tags were both by the monitor instead of the other end making the camera and the monitor off balance. Also the video is not as sharp as the older model, its a bit grainy but i like this brand better then others i have tried. This one has an app for the phone as well, which is great, does not always come in, needs to refresh but it is still a plus. The charge doesn't last long, needs to be plugged in a lot. I do recommend it because overall it is decent.

This baby monitor was easy to setup and get used to. The night mode on the monitor itself monitors the baby without any noise and light when in night. The quality of video and audio is quite realistic and the range too is quite long. Good value for money and starter monitor set. Easy to charge and use. Overall build and quality is better than expected for this range of monitors. Connects to an app or the handheld. Functions so well.

UPDATEAPPthe app works well when I’m on the same WiFi network and has a 3 second lag. But once I step out of the house, my app takes forever to load and keeps timing out. Cannot see what’s Happening at home with the app :(Got set up right away! Color screen. I love that the camera can tilt down so much, so can just set it on a dresser top and it’s ready to go! Many other camera won’t told down at a certain angle and forces you to mount the camera on the wall. Easy to use.There’s no zoom ability to use for a larger space. Good for baby but not for crawling toddler
