Quality looks good and am happy with the product so far. Much better than the cheaper competitors

These are much cheaper than a similar set directly purchased from Berkey. However, I have no sure way to test and compare the performance. I wish someone with the appropriate tools could compare and confirm that it's not a knock-off which doesn't work properly to remove the contaminants.

Everyone needs a way to purify water. We use this for every day use.

In terms of the price, it is good value. The set did not come with priming button, which is inconvenient as it will require you to hunt for your old one. I didn't manage to find my old priming button so I dunked the filters in a tub of water for two days. Upon my first clean water top up, the filtered water was grey in colour. As such, I topped up with water thrice. After that, the filtered water is clear. However, I am puzzled - the topped up water ran through the filters (I have 4 installed) very quickly - within 1.5 hours. My original Berkey filters (also 4 installed) took several hours. Not sure if this meant I did not prime the filters well or is it this set of new filters perform very quickly.

One of the charcoal filters would not prime no matter how long I ran it under cold water. One of the charcoal filters also broke off into one of the fluoride filters with three turns while attaching it to the charcoal filter. Had to return this defective product. THUMBS DOWN!

Haven’t tested my water with these. But they fit well in my beloved Berkey and the water tastes just as good! No more chlorine flavor!

The white filter sits inside of the water that's in the reservoir. I don't think this is a good design and wonder if it's a bad idea that the water you drink is sitting in the filter for so long. The water smells like oats and tastes very strange too.

I really like my Berkey Water gravity filter system, but I have lost confidence in the Berkey branded filters. Not only are they very expensive, but independent testing showed that their advertised lab results were falsified. I don't know if this was intentional or accidental, but nonetheless the results made me question sticking with my Berkey system. I researched several Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems but was not impressed with the water taste, especially those that use a bladder in the reservoir, nor the amount of water wasted on back-flushing. Plus, with many on-demand RO systems requiring power (to avoid the using a bladder reservoir), I didn't like how I couldn't get a glass of water during a power outage. I decided to stick with my Berkey gravity filtration system but look for non-Berkey branded filters instead. The first eye-opening realization was how 3rd-party gravity filters are less than half the price of Berkey branded filters. One might think that the extra price for Berkey filters is because of their higher quality materials, but this is not the case. During independent testing, it was found that water that was filtered with the Berkey fluoride filters had a small amount of aluminum introduced. When they compared regular city tap water before and after the Berkey-branded fluoride filtering, the water before had zero aluminum, but after being filtered it had a detectable about of aluminum. And since aluminum consumption contributes to dementia and other health concerns, this is not at all an acceptable result. A filter should not make water worse than it was before being filtered.I've been trying replacement gravity filters for a while now and I was therefore intrigued by these filter pairs and how the fluoride filters do not use Activated Alumina, made from aluminium hydroxide, (as is the case with Berkey branded filters) and instead uses Carbonate Apatite, which is a group of phosphate minerals found in rocks and in crystal formations. So not only are these filters much less expensive than the Berkey branded filters, they are also made with better quality materials. A win-win situation!

I can taste the difference in my filter water. However, I did not like the fact no install instructions or cleaning instructions. For the selling price you would hope they would want to educate the client. I will most likely go back to the name brand filters as they do a great job on how to install and maintain the filters.

I got these filters and after following instructions found that my tap water comes in at 118ppm the first picture is from my Propur Stainless Steel Gravity purifier and filters at 125ppm??? The last picture is from my Zero water Canister with a zero water filter and it comes out at 0000 as expected. I will be returning these if the number does not drop as it seems like it is a scam and not filtering better than the local water municipality. The filters I replaced was filtering at 94-109 ppm and I thought it meant it had to be changed. I am ready to put my old filters back in. I expected more for 79 bucks.
