I used this on my boat trailer wheels to remove the brake drums after trying to physically break the bond between the shoes and drums with a mallet. Several days later I broke down and ordered this Drum and Rotor Puller for the possible 1 time use at a cost of close to $180.00 Cdn. Best thing I could have done. Worked great and helped me when all other sources told me to just keep bashing the outer drum with a sledgehammer.

Ordered this huge puller when the torch melted and didn't seperate. This puller broke the fusion on the hub face. Needed high torque the mid didn't cut it so the casting is not junk.

My rear drum brakes on my 88 Jeep Comanche were seized to the hub to the point I thought someone put some gorilla glue on it. I had tried “closing” the self-adjuster with zero luck. Without having access to any impact or air tools, I was between getting a portable propane torch or this puller tool… Not having my own garage and doing this in a public parking garage I figured other people would not be happy about me having some open flame propane torch around there cars. I also wanted something I could use no matter what or where and know it’ll work.It is very easy to assemble out of the box, and once you get it on the drum all you have to do it close in the sides and screw in the middle to hold it centered and hold it on enough to get the strap around. Make sure it is centered as best you can all around and tighten it down tight. Then, get to tightening. Not having any big power tools I used this bigger adjustable wrench which works perfectly. Takes a little longer and more energy, but is definitely doable and gets it down.Once it popped off, you can loosen the it a little bit and take the strap off and the rest of the puller. You could also take the drum off with it all still on probably but mine didn’t feel like it.Overall, this is super easy to use, is pretty compact and easy to store with it all disassembled. It is quite heavy but I’d rather it be heavy than cheap and light and break while I am using it. Well worth the cost especially if you’re going to be using multiple times. I recommend this product if your drums are stuck on the hub and you have tried loosening the self-adjuster. 5/5

I used this to pull the rear brake drum for a 2005 F150. All it took was a little bit of force using the puller, a few moderate hits with a hammer and the drum came off.

I had some trouble with it initially, but after incorporating the propane torch and hammer. The finally pulled off. The threads were beginning to fail it seemed. For the price this isn't bad. I was going to return it but decide to keep it. The closest thing it could find at the local hardware store was twice as much.

2015 Michigan car, Rotors have never been off. These were NOT coming off with a rubber mallet, PB blaster or even a 5 lb sledge. Fronts came off with a bang and a cloud of rust dust. Rears really took some work with the impact wrench. But they came off. A tool I will not need very often but without it I would be looking at old rotors.

It is advertised as being a drum poor, but is far from it. The darn thing broke the drum in half. If I could leave a zero star review I would.

Worked perfectly. Previously tried everything for hours to get the drum off and wouldn't budge. A couple turns with this and it came right off.
