This is a perfect tool for microwaving noodles! It has two handles on either side to keep from burning your fingers when picking up. The color was exactly that of the picture. Would like a less long version of this but other than that it’s perfect and fits in my microwave perfectly as well. Would recommend!

I love this. I can cook pasta for a full meal, or just a small quantity for my dog, who eats a little pasta every day. It is also great to cook vegetables, and probably more, but I need to experiment a bit more. I wouldn’t use it with tomato products, but I think it’s great for most anything cooked in water. Unfortunately, I lost the strainer top, but I improvise. I’ve given these to friends in order to make food prep a little easier. It certainly does.

I hate standing at a stove stirring for 15 minutes, it defeats the purpose of "convenience food" like boxed mac n cheese or pasta. This works amazingly well, just put the water in, pop it in the microwave, go do whatever you like until it's done. Easy to drain without stray noodles getting all over the sink. It might take a couple of tries to get the time exactly right depending on your microwave, but it's worth it.

I was so exited to receive this. Making pasta seemed like it would be much easier and faster than the usual way. However, for a family of three just one won't work. We had to cook two batches and it takes longer to cook than the usual way. I'm sure I will enjoy using this when I get use to it. But, I don't recommend this to cook for more than one person.

I have limited space in my kitchenette and boiling things on the induction burner is kind of a pain, so this microwave pasta cooker is exactly what I needed to be able to quickly and easily cook pasta. The elephant ears idea was a good one -- it gives you something to grasp when moving the container around. My microwave is above eye level so it's always an iffy thing pulling stuff out of it, but I had a good grasp on the container and wasn't afraid of getting burned (I worked slowly and carefully so I didn't slosh any liquid of course). I really LOVE the idea of the built-in strainer... that was always the worst part of cooking pasta for me. With this container, it's easy to hold the lid in place and drain the pasta. An aside here: I would have much preferred that the lid could be snapped on while cooking but it's a small thing... I found that holding the lid carefully in place is not difficult and actually works out well. For my test, I used a 12 ounce box of dry bowtie pasta and cooked it 14 minutes on high (1000 watt microwave). The pasta was maybe a minute or so overdone but still was very close to the perfect al dente state. I think 12 ounces is about as much as it will handle of this type of pasta at a time because the container was very full... but it worked. You can probably do a pound of something like spaghetti or angel hair pasta. One thing I did notice is that my pasta stuck together a bit, so next time I'm going to add a tiny bit of oil to the water. It wasn't stuck enough to make it impossible to separate but I did have to take a bit of time to break up clumps. I think the oil might help with that. Anyway... the pasta came out nearly perfect (and will be perfect with a slight adjustment to time).... and I only dirtied up the pasta maker so that's a total win. It also cleaned up very quickly and easily. This, for me, was a really good purchase.
