The hole saw have high risk of suddenly getting locked (jammed), and the drill will kick back in your hand and may break your hand or wrist, especially powerful corded drills. I think it's a common risk for all large hole saws. Wish someone told me before i broke my hand.

Used it to cut holes out for 6" pot lights. Did the job with no complaints. Comes with the drill bit as well. No regrets here.

This hole saw works as it should, but these are still hard to use on Sheetrock because of the way it grabs. Nothing wrong with this brand or specific hole saw, it’s the nature of how it works. The best use will be to run it at a slower pace in reverse so the teeth don’t grab all of a sudden and break your wrist. Going in reverse will take longer, but will work just as well on soft material like Sheetrock. The best type of hole saw is one with continuous grit, almost sandpaper like. This doesn’t have teeth that grab and is much easier to use. However, it will cost you 5 to 6 times as much for one. Thats why I gave this one 5 stars - because it works as it should.

We used this for cutting a dozen holes in our ceiling to install LEDs. It worked well, but the 6-1/4" was almost too big for the 6" fixtures. We made it work, and no issues since, but be sure to measure carefully before using.

I bought this to install wafer lights in my plaster ceiling. This worked great on the first two holes, but the remaining four were a struggle. The teeth are all worn down and the drill bit shank came loose and created a bunch of metal shavings.I have several other rooms in my house to install these lights, so basically I will need a new hole saw for each set of lights. Not a good value.

Tool works great. It’s sharp and cuts great. However, there is no way to lock the saw onto the mandrill threads so when you release trigger to stop drill the saw spins off and fall on floor. I was hoping there would be a nut that installed inside saw on threads but there was not one included

I ordered 6 1/8 inch hole saw. Worked pretty good. My ceilings are 1 inch plaster board and I cut 10 holes before the teeth were pretty much rounded off. I ordered a 2nd to complete the 21 holes I needed. If you have 1/2 inch drywall I would assume one hole saw would be fine for 20 or so holes.

Tool works exactly as it should. No required adjustments or tearing of paper on the hidden side of drywall. Before purchasing this inexpensive tool, I wasted time and money on 1) Menards Disaster-Force 6" Recessed Light Hole Saw ( it actually RUBS it's way through drywall and fractures the gypsum on the hidden side with its stepped abrasive cutter) and 2) Milwaukee's Adjustable ( 2" - 7") Hole Cutter with Debris Shield Collar in an unsuccessful attempt to contain drywall dust. It doesn't work well without pressing the Debris Shield firmly enough to leave furrows in drywall. Additionally, the lightweight cutters immediately lose dimensional accuracy with their first encounter with a ceiling joist or wall stud. An interesting concept but not robust enough for cutting anything firmer than Velveeta. Save your money and avoid frustration by keeping it simple.
